Hi Everyone! I posted on here only once before since then I have been lurking. To tell you the truth I am not quite sure why I ended up being a lurker. BUT DM convinced me to get my butt back in here and contribute more, so that is what I will do!

I just need to vent about things, and I know you guys won't be as brutal as the Community Board.

This past school year was very hard on me. I had agreed to do some volunteer work the 31st through the 3rd then 7th through the 10th at night. I do this every year and an artist that I want to see very seldom comes to Nashville that I can get up to see him and my best friend got off the night he plays so we are planning on going. Well I mentioned it to my sister and my sister basically told me I couldn't go. My mom however said I could. There is a good age gap between me and my sister and usually we get along but when it comes to me going places I get told I shouldn't do this, can't do this, why are you doing this. The whole spill basically. I'm 20 years old and life is to short honestly it is. I'm planning on attending a concert the very day we get back from Disney and I know if I tell her she'll throw her two cents in. It's the same with me moving out after I graduate in a few years. She doesn't see why I want to leave this town. I have better opportunities with my major in Nashville than I will in this town.

This is the first year really I'm getting out and doing things. In high school I didn't do things a ton of stuff cause I really stayed to myself I guess you could say or didn't want to do things but now I'm getting into the age where I want to have fun, I don't drink never have smoked. That's not me. It's just frustrating.

Why would the CB be brutal to you?

Sad to say but siblings will always be there to put their 2 cents in, whether you want it or not. Your age is very hard as your "grown up" but yet have so much to experience in this world. But family is important. Just have to take it with a grain of salt and do what you want anyway...

Sometimes they can be vicious on there.

I'm trying. She's being more of a mom than a sister. It just gets annoying at times.

Yes, I plan on doing both!!!!

I will write a trip report and a dining report. I will really look forward to reading those of us June disers reports since we have been talking about our plans for so long and helping each other for so long. I want to hear how everyone's trip went. I also can't wait to hear how everyone's dining went. It will give us something to do after our vacations are done and we are all sad.

It's the new Italian place at the Swan. I've heard they have one in NYC. Supposed to be really good. Since we are staying at the Swan, I figure we can leave the boys up in the room watching TV for an hour or so while we have a nice romantic dinner for 2 to celebrate our anniversary.

That sounds very nice! We are celebrating our anniversary (a week early) at the Coral Reef, but with all the kids too. They're too young to leave alone but someday...
