I had to share the news with ya guys. All my grades came in today for this semester and for the first time since I started college I made Deans List. I only had 13 hours but I haven't done this good since school started.

Congratulations! keep up the good work! :cool1:

:cheer2: GREAT JOB MANDY!! :cheer2:

Renee... Dana is beautiful. Green is a great color on her.

I still don't get how I got an A in Anatomy and Physiology. I think she didn't count on our final.

I'm so proud of you LizA!!!! At least you TRIED them!!!! That's more than some people can say. I'm so happy that little boy helped you! I would have helped you too if I were there.... But you may have not had many to eat... I tend to eat them quick and they are gone so fast!!! YUMMO!!!

I thought I had better take the opportunity to try them since we had someone to teach us how to eat them. I'll definitely eat them again.

Mandy, that is great!! Congrats!!

SM - Dana's school picture is so good!!

I'm going to try to make this quick but here is what we saw over the past few days. Last Saturday we left just south of B'ham, AL at 6am and drove to Springfield, VA arriving at 11pm. Sunday we went to Mount Vernon, the National Air & Space Museum, the Natural History Museum, the National Archives, National Sculpture Garden, Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Marine Memorial & the Korean Memorial. On Monday we went to take pictures a the White House, tour the National Cathedral, saw Embassy Row, kids toured the Capitol, adults toured the Supreme Court Building, then Arlington (saw the changing of the guard), then the kids & teachers went to Chuck E Cheese & the parents went to Applebees for dinner. Tuesday morning we drove to Baltimore we toured Ft. McHenry, the Baltimore Inner Harbour (I had crabcakes for lunch @ Phillips), the National Aquarium & then drove to Williamsburg. Wednesday morning we went to Historic Jamestown & the Glassblowing House then we went to Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown & after dinner at Captain George's we had a nighttime lantern tour of Historic Williamsburg where they told the ghost stories associated to some of the buildings. Thursday we had all day to explore Historic Williamsburg then we left at 5pm & arrived home at 6:45am this morning!! We did not get to see the queen...some of us really wanted to but it would have really thrown us off schedule. We did see the preparation for her at Jamestown and saw the security at Williamsburg. We actually had to have our bags checked and go thru metal detectors to get into one end of Williamsburg. That's our week in a nutshell...now I can't wait to get started on DD's scrapbook!

That's it;) sounds like a wonderful time.

DM I love the video of Brooke. Can't wait to see her in person. She reminds me a lot of my friend Susan's little girl named Elise who just turned 3. Last time she was here to visit, she sang that song, but she said "I'm not that interstate" It was so funny.:rotfl:

It really was!! I know it is something that I will never forget and I hope she doesn't either!! Now DH has to wait 7 years to go with our youngest DD when she is in the 5th grade.

Good night all, I have read about all I can read tonight, I'm up to page 169 & I am about to go to sleep...talk to you all in the morning!

It does sound like you had a fabulous trip!!!! Nonstop, huh???? I bet you are exhausted- I hope you got some much needed rest last night.

PS- Were the crabcakes good? I love crabcakes!

Had to share the school photos that came in today...

yesterday, she was as little as your Brooke, DM.... :sigh::rolleyes:

SM... she is beautiful.... what a lovely photo!!!!

Good morning fellow DIS Stalkers. Happy Saturday. What's everyone doing today? We have 3 boys that spent the night last night who were up until 3 am. So they will hopefully be sleeping late, then we have a ballgame at 1:30. Still undefeated! Go Wildcats! Hopefully the late night won't have them too lazy today. Man will I be in the doghouse if they have their first loss after I have let the catcher, 2nd baseman, shortstop and pitcher stay up all night.:scared1: I think I'll let them sleep in til about 10 or 11 so they should be OK. Let's hope. Have a great day everyone!:wizard:

Good morning all. I just have to respond to your comments on Brooke's video debut...

that is so sweet, DM
Thank you! That was 1 of 3 videos taken. One wasn't so "sweet"...;)

Very cute...you got a regular old American Idol on your hands:happytv:
I'm really thinking that, if she lose that little lisp she has. AI or the Gong Show! :lmao:

That is the sweetest video!princess:
Thank you Joyce. She definitely acts the princess: part.

DM - that was so cute!! My little one saw it and noticed that she and Brooke have the same kitchen and then she said "maybe when we become big girls we can become friends"...I hope we get a chance to meet at WDW! I need to check the front page and see where you will be.
Brooke loves that kitchen, which I am glad as after Santa bought it and put it together Santa found an even better one and was bummed out. Oh well. That is the cutest thing your daughter said that maybe they can become friends when they are big girls. Let me add on an "AWWWWW!". I looked at your schedule and we have absolutely no parks scheduled the same!!! We are there the exact same time and planned totally different! What a bummer.

Just too cute, DM! Avery watched it 3 times. She can't wait to see Brooke at Epcot! We leave home in 42 days!!!
Thank you Avery for watching so many times! :goodvibes I think our kids will have fun meeting up in Epcot! We may have to find a place to let them just play a bit so we can relax.

DM - what a little star you have....

I leave Tuesday morning for 5 days!!! Disney with my Sister!!!!
Star? Maybe. Diva? You bet! :rotfl2:

Dana said, "Oh, how adorable!!"

Great doo wop background vocals, Dawn Maree.. :rolleyes1
I loved the picture of Dana. That was taken at school? Nice. We just get a choice of what color background. At least they are nice colored backgrounds. I remember back after I already graduated that some kids up here had really funky backgrounds with bright colors. Yuck!

I betcha my singing really brought you to your knees, in TEARS laughing!

Hahahahaha!!!! Brooke is the cutest think ever!!!!
I had to watch it twice!!! She's so freakin' cute!!!!!
I just knew you would like it. Brooke actually has a correographed dance to that song that I made up. She needs a little prodding at some things and I was holding the camera so she didn't get all the things. At the end when she says, "I'm not that innocent," she usually turns her head slightly and really wags that finger.

DM I love the video of Brooke. Can't wait to see her in person. She reminds me a lot of my friend Susan's little girl named Elise who just turned 3. Last time she was here to visit, she sang that song, but she said "I'm not that interstate" It was so funny.:rotfl:
I'm not that interstate? :rotfl: Funny how they come up with words of their own. When Brooke does that she insists she is right. Too funny.

The boys will probably be fine if you let them sleep in. Remember, kids have more energy than we adults and bounce back faster! Good luck with the ballgame!!

Congratulations Mandy!

I'm going to try to make this quick but here is what we saw over the past few days.

the Baltimore Inner Harbour (I had crabcakes for lunch @ Phillips), the National Aquarium
I went to Baltimore's Inner Harbour for a day. It was very lovely. We also took the boys to the National Aquarium but I think they were too young at the time (1 & 3) so they didn't appreciate it.

Phillips Crab House is great! Whenever we went to Ocean City, Maryland, we would get crab cakes as takeout. Totally yummo!

Glad you had a busy, interesting, educating, and fun time!

I'm stuck in the house all day. We have the storm front that was in Kansas heading this way and I'm scared.

I'm not that interstate? :rotfl: Funny how they come up with words of their own. When Brooke does that she insists she is right. Too funny.

Inventive words always crack me up!! When Dana was in kindergarten, she came out of school with a BIG smile on her face!!
"Mommy! In music class today, we sang the song you sing in church about the cabbage!!"

So, I'm thinking - "ok, I've sung plenty of songs in my life, but I don't think I've EVER sung a song about a CABBAGE. And, on the VERY SLIM chance I have, it CERTAINLY wasn't in CHURCH!"

I look at Dana and say, "how nice, sweetie. what song did you sing?"

Dana: "You KNOW Mommy - about the CABBAGE!!"

I'm still looking at her, totally puzzled...

Dana: "Mommy - YOU KNOW:
"And ran some cabbage, is... I am!"(Sung to the perfect refrain melody of "O Come O Come Emmauel"... )

TRANSLATED: "And RANSOM CAPTIVE ISRAEL".....

I wanted to die laughing. And, of course, now, during Advent, my blasted music director uses "O Come O Come Emmauel" EVERY week for four weeks...
and ALL I can think of is a CABBAGE running down the aisle with stickpeople feet........ :lmao:

"Out of the mouths of babes".......
