Diser's for CMO!

Obviously they are even more painfully shy than others. In their culture "modest" is considered bold. We'll only know who they are when they finally emerge on the 20th day of top ten voting to say "if you don't mind, we'd like you to vote for us... once each will be plenty... sorry to bother you."

Side note: Now I'm kicking myself for not riffing on NostraDisMouse for my CMO video. Shoot... that could have been funny... "And they shall call him C.M.O."

Second side note: No offense at all meant Dana and Suz. Modest is a good thing! I'm just riffin' on an old joke!

So, I just returned to your original post about the missing semifinalists (including the "painfully shy alliance"), and there were a lot more members of that little force than I'd remembered (Finalists #13-17).

:rolleyes1 Yes, I know that was an incredibly geeky thing to do, but I've gotta live up to my screen-name somehow!? KWIM? ;)

It's page 48, post #712 -- for those who are interested. I think I've managed to successfully link it below. (Maaaaan, we were a "young" thread then... ;) )

Ok... judging from my effort below, this is a bad idea... at least a tough one. But if you can use multiple things for each letter, maybe you could write her a little children's book with a poem for every page....

From Animal Kingdom to Adventureland
A trip puts it All in the palm of your hand
Amazing Attractions, Astro Orbiter, more
Await you Away from your resort's front door
Ariel calls you to Approach and join in
After an Epcot Around the world spin
Gather your Autographs, create some Art
And before you're Aware
You're Asleep with full heart.

Some of those rhymes are a little strained... but hey its a first Attempt.

WOW! Yet another reason to be blown away by all of Fleagle's talents. What a guy! :)

As for the a-b-c thing, as usual you will probably have to stretch to get to an X that is not scary (eXpedition everest).

So how about X is in reX from Toy Story? I know if nothing else you can see him at Pizza Planet at DHS.

Two other "hard" ones:
U for Ursula, in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid as DHS.
Z for Emperor Zurg in Buzz Lightyear at MK.

Nicely done, Cat! And, welcome back! :goodvibes

During my interview, they asked several questions about my video. One question was if I would be able to secure parental permission for the girl in my video to appear in the top 10 if I was so selected. Of course the answer is YES, as Suz and her family have been so supportive!

Good. Since they asked about permission, I'm sure you're fine.

I think this is another case (such as we have discussed with music) where it is easier for them to forbid it in the rules because it is to hard to say "no, except if...." They can make an exception to the rule more easily.

I was mostly interested for the future--I hope there is another similar contest next year.

Thanks, DISgeeks!

One of my other obsessions is following Professional Cycling (as in biCycling), and I've been busy watching the Tour of California on the internet.

I'm hoping I can combine my 2 fave obsessions next February, and go out to California, watch some stages of the race, and then end up at Disneyland! :)

Anyhoo... ya'll have a good night.

Marshay,

We did a really fun thing in our family a few years back. We spent about 3 family nights coming up with a very long list of WDW things for each letter of the alphabet. I wrote them down in a small spiral notebook and then I made sure that we got a picture of at least one thing for every letter. Then I made a 6x6 scrapbook with one letter and picture on each page. For ease, I used the exact same layout for each page. The picture was oriented either vertically or horizontally. A small square was in the upper corner with the letter inside it and a long, vertical rectangle below or beside that for the journaling (depending on the orientation of the picture) If I can find a picture of one of the pages, I'll post it.

The fun thing about it was that we let people know what we were doing. For example on Jungle Cruise we told the captain that this was our letter "B" for our scrapbook (boat). She immediately moved Katie to the front and let her "drive". In Canada, Off Kilter was our "O" and they brought her up on stage for a picture after the show. So many special, magical memories for that trip. We fudged on the "X" and did x-tra sweet with a picture of Katie eating strawberry mousse from France. For "Z" we got a picture of her in the cage with Zurg at the end of the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Super fun.

Hey if you just give me your book then that'll save me a lot of trouble!!! :rotfl2:

Yes, this is exactly what I plan to do...but I wasn't thinking about taking it a step farther and telling the CM -- what a grand idea!!

Oh, Suz, if you haven't already, I'd love to see pictures!!!

Right now I'm trying to decide on 6x6 (which is what I did last time) or slightly larger (but not 12x12).
