Dis'ers at the Poly - Week after Thanksgiving...

Sounds like there will be quite a few of us....will you guys be sporting your lime green and, if so, how?

I'll have the lime green mickey heads (paint samples from home depot) somehow attached to our backpack with "Bride in the Attic" written on them. I'm also going to look for a lime green ribbon to tie around our backpack as well.

Look for us and say hi - it will be me, DH and DD (8)...

I am 2 weeks after Thanksgiving, check in on 12/6. I have lime green mickey heads that I will be attaching to my bag. They say "DISboards" and "tjmouse" on them. I also have yellow mickey heads to identify that I am also a Passporter gal.

I am not afriad to ask people, so if you have a lime green mickey head, I will say hello!

We will also be there the week after thanksgiving - DH, DS 4 and me for my birthday. I am so excited. I guess that I will have to go to Home Depot for my lime green mickey head also.

We will be checking in on 11/27-12/4 I did not plan on wearing anything Lime Green but I think that I will add something. We will be a group of 6 adults and 4 kids ages 12-8. See you in Disney.

In the paint department in Home Depot they have Disney paint swatches (the little paper you take to decide on a paint color) in the shape of Mickey heads...the lime green ones are perfect for DISers

We will be at the Poly from 12/4-12/6 and I'll have the Home Depot Mickey head on my back pack--it will say BeccaGrace.

Hope to meet lots of DISers while we are in WDW and at the Poly...it will be me, dh (who doesn't believe any people I met online actually exist!), my mom, and my two daughters (2 & 4).

to be staying at the Poly! It's my favorite resort, but my DH and I have decided not to stay there until most or all of the rooms are redone so we'll be sure to get a new room. So, we decided a few weeks ago to go down for Thanksgiving, just for 4 nights. We got a great AP rate at the Dolphin, so that's where we'll be. Stayed at the Swan last November and liked it a lot. I want to hear full reports about the Poly.

That is my dilemma at the moment - anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of punching a hole in them and tying them on with a lime green ribbon but I'm afraid they will tear....

Hope to see some Dis'ers this year! Last year we sported our lime green Mickeys, but didn't see anyone or have anyone notice us. If you see an exasperated dad, two rambunctious boys ages 5 and 2 in a double stroller and a very pregnant mom wearing flamingo pink shoes ... well, that is DEFINITELY us, so after you stop laughing, say hi!

(DH has a laminating machine at work so we laminated our mickey heads and punched a hole thru the plastic. I think many places, like Kinkos, does laminating for relatively little $$$. Works great)

We're not at Poly (we're at WL), but we'll be there the week after Thanksgiving!

I saw the Mickey ears paint swatches at Home Depot a while back, but wasn't sure you could just take one unless you were getting something related. I'll have to check them out again! I'll try to get or make a lime green one and put it on my backpack.

We'll be there with our DS (20 months old) for the first time! MVMCP Dec 1st too!

I'm hoping to make and wear at least a few custom Disney T-shirts, thanks to some great design ideas on the custom T-shirts thread (Crafting board)! My one complete design so far is a "Disney Mom" design for a bag and T-shirt. I did find one lime green T-shirt, but I'm not sure which design to use on it.

You can do laminating yourself with clear Contact paper, as well. (I started to type "You can laminate yourself", but somehow that didn't sound like a good idea )

I'm not staying at the Poly but my friend and her family are...I think they check in on Nove 29 after 3 nights at OKW. She will be with another mom and each will have 3 kids and one grandma...so a crew and a half. Walk up to them and say HI Jiggerji...and she'll be one surprised lady!!

Also, a few of us are planning on coming over on Monday, the 28th after Wishes (8PM) to grab a drink and see the Electric Water Pageant from the beach. I might have my DVC visor or Mousefest Visor on.

LOL! Hi kidsister!

chip126 and I are checkin' in at the Poly on Nov. 29th. My first stay there and chips dream resort. I am soo excited for my first stay at the Poly to find out what all this fuss is about! I think we will be pretty easy to spot...We will have our kids (6 of them all together)with us ages from 1 to 19! Girls trip with the kids plus one very handy grandma!

I will be looking for other disers but especially for kidsister!

They are free paint chips! Never a problem taking a couple. If anyone asks (not sure why they would) you can always tell them you need to hold the color up to your rug at home to make sure it matches!

Back OT: I have a co-worker who thinks I'm a disney fanatic - until he needed advice on what to see. He'll be at the Poly with his DW and two beautiful little girls they adopted from China. If anyone sees him, tell him "Allison, his favorite compliance officer, says hello" please. That would totally blow his mind!!

OMG! OMG! I was on WDW reservations doing my daily check of whether any rooms opened up in garden view concierge and there was one today and I got it at my pin rate that I booked back in September!!!! I cannot believe that I am not only surprising my family with the Poly but I am surprising them with Poly Concierge (an unheard of notion in my family!!!!)--I could cry right now I am so happy and excited!!!!

My lime green ears are ready and will now be hanging out in the concierge lounge!!!!
