DIS'er Ray Sharpton makes the big time, now famous..

I was looking for a link on Deb's site for a person here on the DIS Transportation board yesterday. The person was asking about large size and how well Disney is with that with the rides and all at WDW. Deb has a great section on that on her site.....Walt Disney World at LARGE. When I went to get the link for her, who do I see there, beaming with his ever-present smile , but our own DIS'er, Ray Sharpton.

Some newer folks here on the DIS might not know Ray, he has not been around too much the past couple years, but certainly anybody here for some time knows Ray. What a nice guy! I have had the opportunity on a number of occasions to meet up with Ray, several times at DIS meets in Atlanta, his home, as well as several times at WDW. Always a fun time, always pleasant. His smile there is about the way Ray always looks, always beaming.

As far at the web link, Deb sure has a lot of good info there, linked in the left column, and that new special edition Passporter book sure looks like a good one too. Jennifer and Dave, sure do put out quality products, as does Deb, with their sites and offerings.

Just thought I would pass this on, always nice seeing Ray. Hey Ray, stop by and say hello.

I've never met him in person but I've been around long enough to know what a nice guy he is. It's great to see such a good picture of him.

I met Ray at WDW!!! He was standing in line checking into Pop Century. I saw him and immediately knew it was him. I'm usually pretty shy but I knew from Ray's posts and his kindness and love for those children he has touched at the hospital in Atlanta, that he was approachable! What a nice guy!

Ray is my hero, a man who works for the neonatal section of the hospital my son was born at AND saved! Hands down one of the nicest guys alive... next to Dan, of course!

Ray is hands down one of the nicest, kindest, gentlest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His generousity is without compare. He is truly and angel in every sense of the word. His smile can light up a room. His positive outlook on life is uplifting. I feel blessed at having had the opportunity to meet Ray and to call him friend.

I never met Ray, so I didn't recognize it was him in the picture when I went to Deb Will's site. I wondered who it was because he looked so friendly and happy. He does look like I expected Ray to look.

I miss Ray. His thread over on the Disney Cruise Line forum has been popping up on page one lately. I hope he'll lurk over there and see all the compliments he got on his hard work of splicing threads together. - hint hint.

I tried to send Ray an email, the one I had from the past, bounced back as not working. And he has his email/PM turned off here (looks like he has left the DIS, at least for the time being). If anyone has a current email, or talks with Ray, please pass on he is missed here.

Hi Dan Thanks for posting the link to Ray's picture on Deb's site. Ditto to what Towncrier said about him. He is one of the kindest and nicest people I've met. The MVMCP carrousel meet he planned last December was such fun, and he seemed to really enjoy watching everyone there have a wonderful time. Hey Ray, "hi" if you see this
