Jenny... We were there in mid-late September last year and it was HOT! I don't think you have to worry about a cold front!

Angey... you have to be so excited that your trip is so soon!

Kim just saw the guys board. She said hey seemed a bit apprehensive. I am sure they are concerned for their safety! She said that Joe's dad seemed the most excited to be there! Too cute!

Speaking of, I don't know much about the pool at AKL. Is it like a watering hole?

Can I vote again for the WILDERNESS LODGE!?!? Have I mentioned how much I absolutely LOVE THE WILDERNESS LODGE?? How convenient it is to get places from the WILDERNESS LODGE?? Boat to the MK...boat to the Contemporary...etc.

Anyway....I'm done now. Before I go though...did I mention how awesome the WILDERNESS LODGE is?!?!

Sorry...but I love the WL!! The location is fantastic, the theming is great...we just LOVE it!!!! (in case you didn't pick up on that already) I won't be offended by whatever you choose.

And in late Sept, that's when we always go, it is VERY hot!! You will definitely get to utilize the pools/water parks for sure!!

The pool at AKL is a free form pool with zero-depth entry. It is a nice size.

The pool at AKL is a free form pool with zero-depth entry. It is a nice size.

Sweet. I like the zero-depth entry pools. Is there a slide? I need to check out the FAQ thread for it.

If you stay at AKL, don't try to sit on the edge of the pool with a drink. Someone got fussed at by a lifeguard here.
All I kept thinking is "Look at all these kids in here, more than likely peeing in the pool, and you're worried about me dropping a drink in here??"

Anyone else suffering from non-cruiser depression tonight?

Like you couldn't believe! I'm trying to keep it to myself though. I don't want to be a big whiner because I could probably mope on and on....

Really stupid childish confession but I didn't want to listen to their CD for like 4 days! I was too bummed out. But I finally broke down and had to pop it in yesterday on the way home from work and listened to the whole thing

That's so funny b/c I can't listen to them right now either! My dd5 asked for Hangin' Tough on the way to preschool and I just couldn't do it. At least not til the weekend is over!! Not exactly the same thing but I totally get ya!

Wow, I had a lot of catching up to do! I couldn't be on here yesterday because my cousin was here all day and then my sister came for dinner with her new (first) girlfriend She was really nice, but it will just take awhile for me to adjust to her having a girlfriend since she's been married twice.

Angey - we did not do the screenings because we figured we wouldn't terminate just based on the results so why do it if it wouldn't change anything.

I too am having the no-cruise blues At least we can follow along with Kim and get an idea of how it's going.

Heather - I will keep your BFF and her family in my prayers. I hope it turns out well.

I had to take Nicolas back to the Immediate Care today because when he woke up he had pulled the splint and bandage off and one of the stitches was busted The Dr. said it was healing well but he wants the stitches to stay in a few more days, so now they don't come out until Monday, also the day he goes back to the Orthopedic Dr.

More confirmation that cruises aren't for me, just watching that made me hyperventilate! I can't help it!!

Cruises are so much fun! I always have a blast. One of the best vacation options ever. Do you get sea sick Shelby?

Oh btw, I changed to AKL. We're making an ADR at WCC so we'll still get to see WL!

We're getting the best of both worlds tho. Staying at AKL and visiting WL. I would've booked both, one for each night but that's too much moving around!

Woo hoo! I have a feeling we will soon have an AKL fan on our hands!

I got to know AKL VERY well the first time we stayed there. We got locked in for two days thanks to Hurricane Jeanne! We ate Boma so much that I "almost" got sick of it. The lobby bar helped us pass a lot of time. Apparently, we were not the only ones with the spirited idea because the gift shop ran out of beer and adult beverages pretty quickly.
I almost lost it though when the animals were finally allowed out but we weren't! They kept us locked up for way too long! I can't imagine being stuck all that time in a place like All Stars or Caribbean Beach. Those people were literally stuck in their rooms.
