Boy, it's been quite some time since I posted. Things have been way too crazy lately. I'll give you highlights.

Work's nuts since I'm trying to juggle seveal audits at once (again). And I need to get back into study mode because while I may be off from school until September, I planned to take another CIA (Certified Internal Auditing) exam in August. Yuck.

Went out with my mother Saturday night. She wanted to go get dinner and go dancing, lol. One of her favorite bands was playing at a bar a couple towns over. We had a really great night for the most part...until the end. I was sitting alone at the bar taking a break from dancing. I'd been chatting with several of my mother's friends. At this moment I happened to be alone. Some JERK comes over to me and says something completly disgusting and inappropriate. I don't even remember what exactly, I just remember being offended. So I politely asked him, "Please...just leave me alone." Well he didn't like that. So he gave me a dirty look and SPAT in my face. I was like WHAAAAAAT just happened? Well my tiny little petite mother sees this happen and literally starts pushing him up against a wall with her tiny little fists. Fortunately, the guy's a known jerk, my mother had a lot of friends there, including the bartenders, so everyone got him thrown out and made sure we were ok and that we got safely home. But honest, WHO does that? I think that's one of the most disrespectful things a person can do to another person...spit on them on purpose, knowing what they're doing.

So now the weekends over, come into work on Monday. Sitting at my desk, here a LOUD bang, feel the ENTIRE building shake (earthquake like), and shouting. Apparently a huge chunk of the cement facade/cornice fell away from the building. Honestly, it's a MIRACLE no one was underneath...including myself! That's the way I walk to Starbuck's, and this happened at 8:30am! If they had been, they would have been killed. I mean, this was several tons of brick and stone. Shut down a main roadway in the city, shut down the subway for awhile, nearly got me stuck and unable to get home since my car was parked in a lot off of one of the roads they closed surrounding the mess. And it's still all shust down today. It's really been a nightmare. I've been working late every day this week because it's one of my flex weeks...if I work late 4 days, I get Friday off. So I'm just WIPED out.

I'm so excited to see the new Harry Potter. I was so disappointed when they postponed it the first time I didn't think I could stand the wait. But I still have to wait a couple more weeks. I really want to go see it in 3-D at the IMAX, and they don't move it to IMAX until it's been out for a little while. Darn!

Oh! And last week or so I planned a random trip to Disney. My mother (and father) were making me feel guilty that I took my mother away on a cruise and didn't do a vacation for my father. I was like, "Mom, I love ya, but I probably wouldn't have bought you and I a random cruise if the New Kids hadn't been on it!" So since I felt like I needed a weekend away in some nice weather since the summer in Boston has been so lousy, and my father hasn't had a vacation, I decided to take him to Disney. We fly down Friday the 14 fly back Tuesday the 18th. We're just going to do one day in MK. We really just want to enjoy the pool, sleep in, and eat well. Staying at the Dolphin, as usual.

Hope everyone's well.

Hmm, now that Joe's wife is pregnant, maybe I will run into them from "the south's largest baby furniture store" Saturday, just a few minutes from the concert venue. Far-fetched but wouldn't that be interesting.

Some craziness here ... I don't think it has not rained for more than an hour in three months in Houston, yet rain is forecast for all this weekend, just in time for that last concert of the tour.

OK, off-topic, but I am really sick of the whole Kate story line on Days of Our Lives! I think the writers have been smoking crack lately.

Hey girls, sorry I have been MIA lately. Sooooo much going on. Braelynn has spent the last two weeks at two different VBS groups and she has had a blast. My mom was taken to the ER early last week with heart issues. She spent the night so they could watch her. They found nothing wrong. So she went to her PCP the day after she got home from the hospital and he thinks it is an anxiety type thing. Probably due to the fact the my little brother just got sent to Afghanistan this past Tuesday for a year. She is really worried as are all of us. But I think mom's take it a little bit harder. He did call her Tuesday night at 10p.m. and told her that he found out that his flight was going to be stopping in Bangor, ME (which is two hours from us) for two hours so she left her house and drove to Bangor and got to spend an hour and a half with him, so at least she got to see him before he went over. I think that made her feel a little better.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. Anyone going to any of the last few concerts. I went on and bought the last concert online so I'll be able to watch that. It will have to be Saturday though because Friday is our 10th wedding anniversary and we are going out Friday night. I can't believe we have been married for 10 years, it really does not feel like that long.

Well, I'm at work so I gotta get back to it. I just wanted to hop on and say hi and let you all know that I've missed you. I promise to get on here more often now that life has calmed down a little bit.

Who saw Harry Potter? Was anyone else disappointed or is it just me? I was expecting it to be a lot better than it was. I didn't hate it, it was a decent movie, but I dunno...it should have been better than that.

Oh, please don't say that. I have a feeling if I drag Jason to this one and he dislikes it as much as the last one, I will be Harry Potter-ing it alone in the future!

I don't know how he'll feel about this one. I really liked the last one so...it could go either way with his opinion! It wasn't a bad movie but I was a little let down because I was expecting more.

Well, stop that lurking and be a part of our group! :flower3:
I promise I'll start posting more and lurking less :)

We plan on seeing it this weekend (Sunday). I heard it got good reviews, but I know I'm always comparing it to the book and they always leave out some of the most important stuff when they make the movies.

Kim - SO good to see you. That guy at the club sounds like he needs someone to give him a lesson on how to treat a woman. (or anyone else) What the heck? I mean WHO does that!?!??!?! HOW RUDE!!!!! Hope you enjoy your spur of the moment Disney trip.

Crystal - good to see you too!! I'm so glad your mom got to see your bro for a bit. I can understand her anxiety for sure!!

Jenny - I liked the HP movie. I feel though that for it's important to have read the book before seeing it. There were certain parts that I think if you didn't know the back story you would wonder what the heck was going on. They didn't focus enough on the Half Blood Prince issue. BUT I still liked it. I really liked the humor in it!

Am I the only one not getting the streaming concert tonight? I don't know. I think after 4 shows, front row and a 5* watching it on a little screen just won't hold a candle. I have plans with the family tonight also so maybe that's part of my non-excitment over it?:rolleyes1

Whoever out there gets to hear Jordan sing her name during "give it to you" has got to be one of the luckiest people ever! Wow!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

No streaming concert for me either. I'm with you, I've seen them 4 times, met them, had front row, 3rd row, 5th row and 8th row. I think I'm good for awhile. :thumbsup2

They left out a lot of great things that were in the book and kept in a bunch of trivial things. They did change the story around somewhat. I didn't hate it but it wasn't as good as I was hoping.

I thought the whole thing with Ron and Lavender got old, quick. Same with watching Draco pull the cover of the cabinet over and over again. There was no mystery to what he was doing at all. I liked it but I was expecting more out of it. I guess I went in with high expectations.

My sister and I are going to watch the concert. She has one of those mini laptops though so they're going to be tiny. There's drama going on with our family right now so it's just an excuse for us to hang out and relax.

Does anyone else think the lack of story lines in the Harry Potter movies will come back and bite them in the butt for the making of Deathly Hallows? One part that comes to mind is the whole Dobby situation. They totally messed up that story line in previous movies.
OMG, I sound like a nerd. haha.
We're going to order our baby furniture tomorrow and bedding (pirates!)! Woo hoo! The way Jonas kicks me CONSTANTLY, I would think we need a cage for him instead of a bed. I'm now at the point where my stomach jumps when he kicks and throws elbows. I'm sure the next 18 weeks will get even more interesting.

They messed up Dobby AND Kreacher's story lines. They weren't even mentioned in this movie. I wonder if they'll just complete cut them out of the 7th along with Bill and Fleur.

Back from the lake just in time for the webcast! Hope everyone is good! I haven't gone back through the pages I missed, did I miss out on anything good while I was gone?

Welcome back Heather!!

Thanks!!! Happy to report that I made it through without any major SIL drama! Weather was yucky for most of the trip, though. 60, cloudy and windy is not good lake weather! :headache:

Just watched the webcast and have the replay on another screen. It was awesome!!! All I can say is whoever Sara is that won JK's contest is a lucky girl!!!

I LOVED the part in the webcast where they were going 'Jon. Knight. He's a freakin pimp ya'll!' :rotfl: I love that Donnie puts him on the spot like that. Jon's so funny on twitter; he needs some of that personality on stage!!

It was a great show. Made me sad, thinking how long it could be before the next time they come back. Jordan looked like he was going to cry after I'll Be Loving You. :(
