DISer chapter of NKOTB anonymous...join the party *ahem* intervention!!!

So tonight is the Phoenix concert. We arrived early to the arena. Found where the tour busses were and stood around. Pretty soon Jon comes out. Then we see Joe's wife. Then Joe and finally Jordan. Later we were walking around and ran into Joe!!!!! My heart stopped. We got pics with him!!!!! Seriously I am so happy. If you follow the link to my blog you will see pics. More to come as the day goes on. I am on cloud nine. This feels so surreal. 20 years.....

OMG!! thanks for sharing!! I am so jealous of you right now!! I am so excited for you also.. you must post more pictures when you have a chance.. I have to admit.. I found it very funny the whole stocking part.. because I totally feel ya!

When my friend and I go again we plan on going VERY early in the hopes of running into them!! When they came to Atlantic City they ate in the same restaurant we were eating at, didn't know it at the time though!

Looks like we have some NKOTB fans here, so I figured this was a good place to post this!

Let me start off by saying I was NOT a big fan of NKOTB back in the day. While my sister was listening to NKOTB, I was rockin’ with Dokken and Whitesnake. Rock on. Anyway, my sister wanted to take me to their show last Thursday in Sacramento. She saw them twice during the height of their popularity, but I had never seen them live. I liked a few of their songs, but wasn’t really sure what to expect. I was at least hoping they sounded ok and had updated a few of their dance moves.

WOW. What a great show! A few things really surprised me:

Donnie is fantastic! He is still a good dancer and was GREAT with the crowd.

Joe sounds better now that his voice has matured.

Jordan can still hit the high notes!! He still has the falsetto & sounded pretty amazing.

Danny is a short little guy!

Jon still can’t dance, but then he never could…but he put forth the effort and managed to keep up, so I give him credit for that. Not bad for a guy with terrible stage fright. Go Jon.

I could have done without all the female dancers on the stage. They seemed like more of a distraction than actually adding anything to the show. Besides, the crowd was about 99% female, so who was even looking at them?

The crowd was really into it, and the 5 guys on stage looked like they appreciated the reaction they were getting. It must be exciting for them to be reliving some of their past fame! Overall, it was a great show & I’m glad I went.

Oh, and I bought their new CD the other day too.

Summertime will always be my favorite since it launched their comeback, but I really like "2 in the Morning" and "Twisted." I had to remove "Sexify my Love" off my dd's iPod, though. Those lyrics are scandalous!

Oh my goodness, I just scanned through all 44 pages of this thread! LOL! They really are an obsession.
I am 30, and still adore them. I will say I didn't have to dig their 'tapes' out, they were already out from me still listening to them, lol.
I am going to their concert on Oct. 30th, and cannot wait! I have my 5yr old dd in love with them too. She's been singing Step by Step in stores. Joe was always my fav. with Jordan close behind... seeing them now, Jordan has really filled out.
