Good morning ladies!!! Well, this morning tickets went on sale for 2 shows at our state fair...Jeff Dunham and Kelly Clarkson. We LOVE Jeff Dunham, but decided not to order tix b/c that's $100 we could spend elsewhere. I did order the tix for our friends and got them front row, center. A little jealous, but felt find about our decision really. So, to torture myself I decided to see what tix were available for Kelly Clarkson 15 minutes after they went on sale...front row, just off of center. Yeah...are you kidding me??? Jay says "Order them! I'll go with you!" HUH??? We decided not to spend the money on Jeff Dunham, who makes us laugh so hard we cry, but we are going to get Kelly Clarkson now? This is not what we had in mind when we said other places we could spend that money. Well, I did it. We are now front row for Kelly Clarkson on August 1st. LMAO

Side note...there are 2 days they haven't announced shows for yet. Well, one they did, but Katy Perry backed out. The other they just haven't announced yet. What if it's our boys?????

I like Kelly Clarkson, she's cute and all her songs are catchy!

Is Jeff Dunham the guy with the cranky old man puppet? :rotfl: I've seen him on Comedy Central. There's a comedian I'm dying to see who is coming to my area in May. Unfortunately it's at the Borgata in AC and will probably cost me a small fortune!

I love Kelly Clarkson and I'm really excited, I just never thought we'd be going. HAHAHA Jay just wants to look at her. My cousin and her best friend are going as well, ordered their tix before me, and are in the center section 28 rows back. I think she's annoyed with me. LOL oops.

Jeff Dunham is that guy with the puppets. He cracks us up! However, being the Delaware State Fair, I'm fairly certain his show will be a little edited, if not a lot. If you are paying that much, I'd want to whole shebang. When Larry the Cable Guy was there a few years ago, his show wasn't as funny because he dumbed it down for the "family feel" of the fair.

Oh, she's just jealous! ;) She'll get over it.

I don't blame you for not wanting to pay that much if you're going to see an edited version of the show! What's the point?? Yes, you're still getting to see the guy, but you're not getting the full effect of it. Do they have a show later on that's 'adults only' like they do on cruises?

No, would be nice though! Actually the fair used to have 2 hows of each performer every night!! I don't remember when they stopped doing that, but I'm surprised they were ever able to get them to do it to begin with.

I told my friend this morning, I've been unemployed since August, yet I'm going to more concerts in this year than in ages. Something is so very wrong with that. I better stay away from the budget board, they'd massacre me. :rotfl:

One of the shows is New Kids! Any reasonable person knows that they're part of every person's budget. :rotfl:

And if not, you make them a part of it!!! HAHAHAHA

Honestly, anyone that knows me knows that I'll give up most other fun stuff if it means I get to go to a concert. I love music and concerts are one of my favorite things to do, no matter who it is.

Me too. I'm luck enough to live ten minutes away from a outdoor concert venue and I'm always getting lawn seats for shows there. They always have 80s bands coming there. In one summer I saw Poison, Huey Lewis & the News, Journey, Def Leppard, and Duran Duran! It was amazing!

Well, we just got back from the beach. It was a perfect afternoon! Linner at Grotto's in Lewes, then walked the boardwalk in Rehoboth. It was pretty busy, lots of kids and dogs. Carson LOVED it! He got to run up and down the boardwalk while we tried to keep up. LOL Oh, and we had to get some candy at Candy Kitchen and caramel popcorn from Fisher's. I'm so ready for REAL beach weather!! Not to go ON the beach, but for the boardwalk fun...games, rides, etc.

I'd take just going ON a beach. I hate living in Indiana. NOTHING is around here. :headache:

On a side note, I've never seen or heard Jeff Dunham. :confused3 I know of him because my cousin loves him. I just got home from her farewell/going away party thing. She is leaving tomorrow for Marines boot camp. I did pretty good - I didn't cry too much. :rolleyes1 I can't help it. I'm a crier. We've been really close her entire life. I remember taking her to see Sesame Street Live like 13 years ago. And I still have a picture she drew me that had stars all over it and it said "your my star" (spelled like that ;) ). Ok, enough of that before I start again.

I did get sent an invite but we're not going. I'm not sure exactly what time we have to be there for 5* but it's going to be 5 or 5:30 I believe. I don't want to have to be all ready for the concert too early!

I don't know if we are going either Shelby. I emailed it to my friend and said we could always check it out after we have dinner and if it looks lame, bail. LOL

Happy Monday, girls! I am DRAGGING this morning... stupid time change!!!

Hope that everyone had a good weekend. We were in the Twin Cities visiting my sister-in-law. Her husband took the kids (5 total between the age of 4 and 7) to the amusement park at the Mall of America for 4+ hours by himself on Saturday so that we could shop in peace. BLESS HIM! :worship: He is a Saint, that was NOT an easy task!:rotfl: Poor guy was SOOOOO ready to drink on Saturday night! I did lots of good shopping. Bought some cute tops for me and the kids Easter dresses. Watched my SIL drop $500 on a handbag without flinching. I couldn't do it, but love to watch her spend money! If you have a Disney store nearby, they have some awesome clearance deals. I got Hannah Montana goody bag sets for the twins bday party for 75% off! I love a good deal!!! Anyhoo, it was a nice weekend. What did everyone else do?

Back on topic... who has NKOTB shows this week?!?!?!?!

$500 on a purse? I couldn't do it ... solely on principle! Shoot, that's a whole season of LSU football tickets ... with some cash left over! That's a WDW annual pass! No way ... I buy all my purses (all two of them) on sale. hehe.

I guess winter is officially over in Texas. We were working in the yard yesterday and I was breaking a sweat after about five minutes, and that was just from walking around and picking up "palm tree debris," compliments of my dogs. Oof.

I'm with Heather. Whom do I get to live vicariously through this week?

The best part of the $500 Michael Kors bag is that she DID NOT flinch... and it is yellow, so it is strictly a summer purse. :scared1: The one that I am carrying now did not even cost 10% of what she spent on her "summer" bag!!! She has the money for now, but her business is shaky at best. She is going to have a big wake-up soon.

What I would not do for winter to be over here! Last week we had 60 degrees and now it is 30. Can't wait for my Texas days to begin!!!
