Just wanted to vent...I'm sick. I always get sick somehow right before I go away. Thankfully I'm 12 days out at this point but I'm stressed!! My nose actually HURTS. It started yesterday late in the day, just one side of my nose was feeling VERY weird. Now I just got up and both sides are just strange, my face hurts and I'm wondering if I have a sinus infection. EVERY stinkin' time I go away, something like this happens.

I'll give it a couple days and see if I need to call the Dr.

I have managed to escape the dreaded virus this time. But both Braelynn and John have had it and it is awful. But they went to the doctor and they said it is just a virus and nothing they can do it just has to run it's course. But if you face actually hurts it very well could be a sinus infection. Hope you're feeling better soon!!!

Bummer! Hope you start feeling better before your vacation!!! It sounds like a sinus infection, I get them all the time and it really makes you feel miserable.

I'm definitely prone to getting sinus infections. One winter I got one 4 months in a row. NOT fun. I had one right before we went to Turks and Caicos over Thanksgiving and I think that's what I have going on again.

I'm going to wait and see what happens over the next couple of days. If I get worse I'll just call my Dr and explain that we're going away and I need to nip it in the bud.

I'm sure it's not a virus. Only my nose/one side of my face hurt.

Oh girls...it never ends. We went out to eat today and ran some errands after Becca got done school. She was happy as can be. I mentioned to my mom that she felt a bit warm and I wondered if she had a slight fever.

We got home later and I forgot all about that when her one eye started to look weird. It actually looked worse by the minute. The lid was swollen and it looked like her eye was only open about half as wide as the other one. It had tears coming from it as well. She said her eye felt fine but it hurt underneath, like under her eye area.

We called the Dr and they said that we should give her some antibiotics because she had also been complaining over the last couple of days that her cheek hurt. Today she said the one side of her face/head was hurting. So, we figured it was her ear again or possibly a sinus infection.

Her eye has started to look better. She came over and hugged me and the warmth coming through her shirt wasn't a good sign. I put my hand on her neck and sure enough, she was very warm. Took her temp, 102.3. Poor little thing.

I just tried to force her to eat some dinner so I could get some of the meds in her system. So, say a little prayer for her if you think about it. She just can't get a break.

Shelby, Carson is sick too! He has had a fever of between 103 and 101 since Saturday. We went to the dr. on Saturday and they said his ears and throat seemed fine...alternating motrin and tylenol has kept the fever down, but if it wears off, like over night, he's right back up there. Thank goodness he already had a well appt scheduled for tomorrow. He seems fine until that fever comes back.

Wyatt had an ingrown toenail cut out today. That was fun...not! He was scared to death to even let anyone look at it, so for the dr to tell him what he was about to do?? The kid broke down! He was bawling and begging us not to do it. Obviously, he had no choice. It was infected and yucky. In the end, I got him calmed down and they were able to do the job, but SHEESH!

After that Wyatt and I had lunch, went to a local Mennonite run store that has dented/smushed boxes and stuff, got tons of snacks and breakfast stuff. Then I dropped him off at my mommom's where Carson was and went to the regular grocery store where I filled my cart to overflowing, loaded down my poor car, got the kids, came home, unloaded everything and gave them a quick dinner of chicken nuggets. All that good food, but I had interest in cooking after today. LOL

I'm ready for their bedtime so I can have some downtime!

Erin, sorry to hear about Carson! Poor Wyatt!! OUCH!!!! It seems everyone is sick right now. What a yucky time of year! Hope they're both doing well.

I'll add to the sickness. Thankfully my kiddos aren't sick but I have a urinary tract infection Never had one before and boy are they painful.

Funny, GCV just came up in a conversation for me today. My friend and I are scheming for a spring trip in 2010 to California and I mentioned staying DVC.

Its scheduled to open Nov 30 this year. I think getting reservations at the 7 month mark will be almost impossible though. It only has 48 units I think. Unfortunately buying VGC means I have to put AKV up for sale

Just checking in. I feel like poop. I'm going to the Dr later because my whole face is aching. I was going to wait but with us going away in 10 days I'm afraid to risk it!! I don't want to fly with sinus problems!!

Becca has improved, her eye isn't as swollen which is good. So, she seems to be on the road to recovery!
