We cruised on the Imagination for our honeymoon in '99. Had a great time! I am sure my husband would just love it if I celebrated our 10th anniversary on the same ship with NKOTB... while he is in Iraq!:rotfl2:

Wha? What would be the problem? :3dglasses

Thank you for your family's sacrifices to protect our country.

Hello again girls. I'm officially the member of a gym! :scared1: That is something I never thought I'd do but desperate times call for desperate measures. :lmao: They informed me that I could have a body analysis done for free with one of their personal trainers. I just informed them that I didn't need anyone to tell me how fat I am, I already know it. :confused3 I analyze my body enough as it is.

jenny - I don't believe that I ever read any of those books. Is it a younger girl type of book? I'll have to get some for my DD if that's the case. (when she's bigger of course!)

angey - going shopping with the intention of not buying anything? Just think of how much $$ you're saving. ;)

cruiserkaren - wow, that ship sounds great! A friend of mine (and fellow NKOTB lover) is the one that told me it was older, she cruises A LOT. I'll have to fill her in on how it has been redone!

Heather - is your hubby in Iraq now?? Oh my goodness. I think you're right, he may not appreciate you celebrating your anniversary with NKOTB on the very same cruise ship! :)

This weekend we don't have much at all which is fantastic! Tomorrow my DS9 has a hockey game, if the weather cooperates. We're expected to get some snow showers mixed with rain. YUCK! I'd like some straight up snow though. :thumbsup2

Then on Sunday we will of course be cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles! (I am not much of a football fan but my hubby is, not sure how high his hopes are that the Eagles will actually win.)

I picked up a yummy Chicken to roast for dinner tomorrow night. It's just going to be a cozy weekend. We even have a couple of movies to watch from Netflix. We have Get Smart and The Women with Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Debra Messing, etc. Looks funny!!

That's about it though. Then Monday it'll be my first day at the gym! I feel so nervous like everyone's going to look at me like I don't belong! :scared:

Hope you're having a good Friday!!!

I start my new Gym on Monday as well. I am not that worried, it is a small family owned (Women's only) gym. So I know I will not be the only "fat girl" in there. Which makes me very happy.

Nothing much planned for us this weekend. It is supposed to get COLD here again (today it is 76 today- I am in shorts and flip flops). I know I am spoiled living in TEXAS - I dont know how you women do it in the COLD all the time. I LOVE my flip flops too much.

I am excited one of our friend just emailed me and asked me if I would help her plan a Disney trip. I was very flattered.

I don't know how much a New Kids cruise would run like the Barenaked Ladies one does. The fans are VERY different. The BNL fans consist of men and women almost equally. Many of them are married couples with kids. They "wooo" when the band takes the stage, not scream.

I was sun bathing on deck on the last cruise and took a nap. When I woke up, I noticed that one of the band members was two chairs down from me with his wife. Everyone left him alone. I just don't see that happening on a New Kids cruise.

Many of the band members have their own little event you could sign up to get into. Entry was won by raffles. The first year I did the Guitar Hero tournament with one of the guys. Last year I went to a songwriter's panel. One band member held a yoga class and another did a trivia contest. Another one had a wine tasting.

There were other bands on board as well and activities going on all the time so the fans would spread out whenever there wasn't a main concert going on.

Would New Kids bring Marky Mark along? I just wonder who else would be entertaining to keep the girls from all stalking the cabins.

It would probably be better to compare it to the John Mayer cruise, and I am not so sure how they handled it. But I think his fans are a bit more relaxed then the New kids ones are. No offense to any of us. lol.

He's Mr. Serious Actor now. I don't quite know how he'd react if someone asked him to do 'Good Vibrations' but something tells me it wouldn't be pretty. :scared: Let alone called him Marky Mark.

Shelby - The Sweet Valley books revolved around the lives of California twins Jessica & Elizabeth and their family & friends. There were a bunch of different series for different age groups. They were really popular in the 80s & 90s.

SV Kids - 2nd grade
SV Twins - 6th grade
SV High - Junior Year
I think they also had Senior Year and SV University.

I used to read those and the Baby-Sitters Club books almost religiously! I don't think you can find them in book stores now but you can probably find older copies on Ebay or Amazon.

About Jon's NEW Post on NKOTB:

"2 in the morning" is the new video is what I am guessing

I am just kind of nervous to see the video, that song is personal for Donnie, I wonder what the "idea/concept" is for the video, We will soon see, Since it is apparently a finished product. (From Jon's post)

Great! Me with my stupid self ... I was out running errands, passed up my exit, took the next exit and U-turned, then came up on the light I was SUPPOSED to be going through from the other direction (if I had not passed up the exit), thought the car in front of me turned right after stopping on red, I stopped, looked left, and went ... right into the back of the car! DANG IT!!!!
Lucky for me, the guy was REALLY nice, I put a small crack in his bumper, and get this ... he is an insurance claims adjuster and was in a company vehicle. He called his boss and they didn't call the cops, thank God, because I was cooperative, stayed calm (and apologizing profusely) and called my insurance company on the spot to let them know I was the moron in the wrong!
Needless to say, I'm not up for even being tempted to spend money this weekend. In fact, I came straight home, didn't even go to the grocery store as planned!
Now waiting for the insurance claims adjuster to call. My husband is freaking out that our insurance may go up, but I am optimistic since we have no accidents or tickets on record. That and the guy I hit said it appears to be less than $300 in damage. What sucks is our deductible is $250! argh!!!!
I'm so mad at myself!

He'll always be Marky Mark to me. LOL! :rolleyes1

That STINKS! I hope the rest of your weekend is much better.

Sorry about the fender bender. I ran my father's insurance office for over 10 years, not fun. I hope all goes well and your insurance doesn't go up!!!

I wonder when the new video comes out!! When we were touring gyms yesterday once of the more expensive ones had a NKOTB song playing. :)

The more expensive place had NKOTB playing because that is where the classy people work out. Had to say it. :rolleyes1

You are welcome!

He is in KS right now and will leave for Iraq the end of the month. He has been training in KS since we left MN, coming home about every two weeks. I am kind of just ready for him to leave so that we can get it over with.

Thanks to the Eagles for booting my Vikings out of the playoffs!!!

It is 21 degrees here as I type and freezing rain... oh how I long for flip flops!!!

:sad1: What a bad start to the weekend... I am soooo sorry!

I would have been sold just because of that!:rotfl:

So my weekend has started off super exciting. We just got home from the McDonalds play place... woo hoo!!!!! I bet no one can top that kind of fun:rotfl2:

I have a sister that lives in New York and works in theater. She was fired from her job a couple of days ago because she is "too nice to be in theater management"! She calls today all excited because she scored a job hosting celebrity parties!!! If she ever hosts one for NKOTB, I am hookin' us all up!:woohoo:

About the whole Marky Mark thing - does anyone remember when he was on TRL with Eminem? Eminem said something along the lines of "let's go over here where we can all be a funky bunch." Talking about himself, whoever hosts TRL and Mark. OMG! The look Mark W. gave him was priceless. He barely said 2 words after that. :lmao: I definitely don't think he likes bringing up the "good ol' days!" (I saw it on some cheesy VH1 countdown show.)

Angey - sorry to hear about the accident. :headache:

Have fun at the gym girls! I can't join a gym but I am getting my fitness coach for the Wii. We'll see. It gets great reviews on Amazon.

I LOVED Sweet Valley High books! I think I read everyone of them in late elementary school.

I vaguely remember reading Sweet Valley High, but was anyone else into The Babysitter's Club? I loved those books! I used to take cues from Claudia and stash junk food in my room.

Hey girls! I just had to tell you how proud I am of Noah! He had a hockey game today and my son got a PENALTY for tripping. Now I'm not condoning tripping (it wasn't on purpose) but he was actually being aggressive. My son is the most laid back child on the planet and he is never aggressive. My biggest complaint about him is that he is too nice. So, I was so excited to see him out there really getting in there and kicking some butt!! And his team won 4-3! Just had to share!!!
