I know this has been on here a lot, but could someone please explain in detail what all happens on disembarktion day. Anything would be helpful.

It is all very simple really
You get up, finish any packing you need to do, go to breakfast and get off the ship.
You can have breakfast at the buffet on deck or you go to the dining room you were in on the previous night, early sitting goes first at about 6:45am and second sitting goes after about 8:00.
You take any luggage you are carrying with you off the ship to breakfast, although we have left things in the room, especially if you are eating early.
When you are done eating and the ship is cleared by customs you just leave by the same route that you came in on, from the atrium.
You enter the terminal building and find your luggage if you have sent some off the night before. You take your luggage, hand in your customs form and then leave the building to whatever transportation you have arranged.
Simple and relatively painless

That is it in a nutshell......there are also porters to help with your luggage if you need them.....Andy

Also, the night before you need to have your "checked" baggage packed and placed in the hallway by 11pm.

Remember to keep your jammies, toiletries and a COMPLETE change of clothes for the next morning to wear off of the ship.

Be sure to watch the disembarkation talk on your tv while packing. You really can skip the talk at 5pm on your last day unless you have some customs questions.

For many of us disembarkation day is the time when we play "hide and go seek" we hide and the crew has to find us and drag us off of the ship - so when others say it's "painless" - don't believe them;)

I don't have anything to add to this subject......I just had to add that I'm also a HUGE Tim McGraw fan (also a member of the I-Squad). Remember...the CMAs are on tonight! :p

It was so simple! Got up, had breakfast, ship was cleared, and we walked right off. Even found our luggage right away, walked right through customs, and was pleasantly surprised that our porter took our luggage right to our van! We were on the road by 8:30 a.m.

You get up, finish any packing you need to do, go to breakfast and get off the ship.
As simplistic, and funny, as that sounds; that's exactly it.
Thanks Robin for expressing it so eloquently. :teeth:

And Michelle, that has got to be the most off-topic response I've seen lately. But I'm a TMcG fan too. Missed the CMAs tonight though, who won? -Mike

Leave it to me to be off-topic! :teeth: It just instantly caught my eye that the original poster had the username mcgrawfan! A girl after my own heart!

To be honest, I stopped watching the CMAs about half way through because all the awards went to the same person (Cash). Tim did have an awesome performance, though!

Ok, enough, I guess this should be on the McGraw.com forum! :p

At the disembarkation talk, they like to tell stories about people who forgot to set aside a change of clothes when packinng the night before, and end up wearing their jammies off the ship. This is the number one thing to get right!

When you go to claim your luggage after leaving the ship, you may find (as we did) that it did not all end up together, and it may take 10 minutes or so to track it all down. This is one case where having unique and highly visible markings on your luggage would really pay off.
