I understand the main dining breakfast disembarkation day is 645am and the late dining is 8am
Since the later breakfast has more time before their brkfst to get ready, can the main dining people leave their "stuff" in their room, go back after brkfast and finish packing/getting ready for their day? Or do we need to lug it with us?

You'll need to take your carry off bags with you ..... Andy

We were main dining but didn't get up until 6:45 or so. The kids and dh quickly dressed and I sent them to Topsiders while I finished getting ready and the last minute packing (toiletries and such).

They came back about 7:45 and we walked off the ship right after 8.

No one came to make me get out of our room in that time

We were main dining and left our room at 6:45 with the last of our stuff. As we left, the room steward was on our heels and he turned into our room to start cleaning it. I think they want to get started ASAP with those "main dining people's" rooms. :)

You shouldn't have much to lug with you.....just your PJ's, and toiletries.

Tip....RIGHT before I put my luggage out, I changed from that day's clothes to my "disembarkation" outfit. That night I changed into PJs and the next day put that outfit back on....therefore having less to carry. :)

We had early seating; we also went back to our cabin after breakfast to pick up our bags.

When we have left our room on the last morning, both cruises, the room steward was right outside, and waiting. They also have a system for knowing if you are all "out" or not....they have something stuck on your "mail fish".
I think I'd stick to the rules, and take your stuff, or go to the later breakfast and take your things then. I don't think they'd mind if you went to the later breakfast.

Remember everyone has an assigned table so if you went to the later breakfast you would find the second seating family sitting there. We just don't even bother with the sit down bfst. Just head up to topsiders, they have a contential buffet. fruit, bagels, muffins cereal and such. I find it so nice to sit on deck one last time before leaving.

The Stewards depend on you being out of your room on time and not leaving any bags behind.

We have second dining. As we passed the rooms vacated by first dining passengers, we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently they worked. This is only possible when they have full access to the room.

It's not only a courtesy to them, it's also showing consideration of the next group of guests. There's no nicer surprise than finding out that your room is ready early. :D

I like that tip! With the 3 nights, I was just getting into the swing of things and then you have to pack! We're on the 7 night next so I hope I won't feel that way.

Sorry, Ann's right, don't know what I was thinking. I guess this is one of the reasons that we have done the late dining...other than it gives us more time in port.
