How long does it take to get through Customs? What time can you estimate on arriving at the airport if you are renting a car?

If you don't spend over 800 per person of goods, we went through without stopping. We handed them the sheet, he said thank you and that was it:)

I'd say 10:00 a.m. if you get right off with no major hassles. But I would book your flight for around 12:00 noon or later. You just never know.

It depends on how quickly you get off the boat.

If you skip breakfast, don't have anything to declare, and get off the ship as fast as the all clear appears, you may be to the airport as early as 9:00. But that does assume NOTHING goes wrong in the ship getting its all clear.

We had main dinner seating and ate breakfast (which meant breakfast at 6:45). We would have been through customs by 8:30, but had some lost luggage. We were still at the airport by 10:00.

If you have late breakfast, take your time getting off the ship, or have problems with luggage or customs, its possible you won't get to the airport until 11:00 or later.

Note that the line for security checkpoints at MCO can get quite long - when we got to the airport it was 45 minutes to get through security.

How did you get to the airport? We were going to rent a car, but that might take too long. We are hoping to take a flight before noon if possible.

We use a towncar and get to the airport pretty early. We keep our luggage in our stateroom so we don't have to stop and look for it downstairs (not that it takes all that long to find it, but we had someone else take it by mistake once). We skip the sitdown breakfast, as we are always much too tired from eating all weekend. There is rarely any line to disembark and the Customs line is usually minor and fast moving. But you want to hit MCO before the other cruise line passengers start arriving as the Security line can get pretty wicked when they all start getting there.
