Anyone who has disembarked in Barcelona this summer - - - - - We are trying to figure out if we can walk off the ship early with luggage and would like to know the customs/passport procedures. Any information about disembarking,, taxi cabs to airport, etc. would be appreciated.

We got off in may after the transatlantic cruise. We had a transfer waiting to a hotel but there seemed to be a lot of cabs available. We were not in a hurry, though and got off as late as possible, got through passport control quickly. Bags were waiting as was our driver. I can’t speak to an eArky departure. It seemed like they started announcing people could leave as early as 8.

Seemed to be a good deal of walking. I’m thinking if you have children they should be willing and able to help with difficult lumps and bumps for wheeled luggage over a bumpy gang way and areas that have the electric cord covers. I remember a struggle and was thankful we were near the last person off. Got a cab with no problem.

I've disembarked from Barcelona a few times and found it very easy with lot's of taxis available. That wasn't the case in Copenhagen. I would recommend anyone disembarking in Copenhagen that needs to go to the airport to use Disney transfers or get off the ship early. We skipped our late breakfast and waited 25 minutes for a taxi. By the time we got a taxi the line was 5 times longer easily a 90 minute wait. We would have missed our flight if we had stayed for breakfast.

We had a similar problem in Vancouver. The taxi line was HUGE!!! It took quite while, but since we were just checking into a hotel again, we were luckily not in a big hurry. But big parties waiting on larger taxis had an even longer time. (They were able to fit our party of 3 and luggage in a Toyota Prius taxi.)

I think next year when we disembark in Barcelona I’ll use Disney transport. I don’t if theres a shortage of cab drivers like everything else. No trouble finding a cab in London or Paris of course Uber is allowed in those cities so that makes a difference.
