Disembark day luggage question

Can we hold our luggage from night before disembark and take with us to breakfast?

Yes, you can carry-off all your luggage. Note there are no luggage carts so you'll need to wrangle it all.

You will have to leave your luggage out side the restaurant no room to have it inside the tables are too close.

You do see this , strollers and carryons etc. so you won’t be alone.

They want you out of the cabin by 8 so I guess you could, I’m sure the cabin stewards watch who leaves maybe tell them your not out get but be out by that time. They really need all the time to do a turn around, beds to change , etc. They start with people going for first breakfast I imagine.

We did this when we got off the Treasure on Saturday, it really only works if you have the late dinner seating as you are called to breakfast until 8:15. We had a quick breakfast at Cabanas at 7am and went back to the room and grabbed our lunch and was off the ship by 7:45. They don’t advertise Cabanas as being available, we always give our tips to the wait staff the last evening because we usually go to Cabana’s/Marceline instead because it’s faster.

We went to Cabanas a little before 8 a.m., grabbed some food, and took our plates back to the room. Our steward was fine with it. We vacated the room around 8:15 or so. The only issue was elevators being packed. So we had to drag our luggage down a couple of flights of stairs to get to the ship exit. (We were on Dream deck 5.)

I would guess room stewards only pretend to be “fine” with it. They really can’t tell you to follow the rules, can they? They work 7 days a week for months. I like to give them the courtesy of being out of the cabin when I am supposed to be.

Or having to deal with the dishes. There is a reason they don’t do room service that morning.

Absolutely this! And the last thing they want to do on debarkation morning when the survey may not have been finalized yet is to tick off a guest and risk a less than excellent score.

Wait, are you bothered that she brought food to her room or stayed 15 minutes past when you think she should’ve left? Sure, they work long hours, but that comes with the role they signed up for. Debonna simply gave an example of what she did to help answer the original question.

It's not when we think she should have left - it's when Disney says you should have left. If everyone starts doing this, it's going to push embarkation later for the group waiting to get on because all those "just 15 minutes" add up. Think about how excited you were to get on your cruise - and think about how you'd feel knowing that YOUR boarding was delayed because people wanted to leave their stuff in their staterooms for breakfast and stay "just 15 extra minutes". Why is is to hard to follow the rules Disney sets forth?

Any quick answers as to how much "quicker" it would be to walk off versus waiting for luggage?

I am sure it varies by cruise, ship, tag, and port... But we will be on the Fantasy at Port Canaveral in a few weeks.

We usually use Disney transportation (to airport), but plan to park at the port this trip (driving down to Florida versus flying). We are heading home after getting off the ship (long drive). Trying to figure out the best way to tackle that morning with waking up (2 kids), packing, eating, and getting to the car (in the parking garage).

When cruising out of Florida, we always drive, and therefore walk off. Usually we are sitting in the car 10 minutes after disembarkation starts
