The entire time I was at Disney World last week I had various degrees of leg soreness. I normally walk for an hour 5 mornings a week and during training for the Marathon Erica and I do one or two LSDs. This doesn't give me much soreness. Now that I've been back a couple of days my soreness is going away even though I'm back to training.
What could the cause of this be:
Jet lag from the long drive down and the time difference?
Being on my feet so long every day walking (strolling pace) through the parks?
Not drinking enouth water and drinking to much beer?
General change of routine?
I have a bananna on my cereal 6 mornings a week and this has potassium, could not eating the bananna on the trip be a factor. I still take a vitamin every morning?
Any ideas? Anyone else experience extra soreness during the trip?

I also was sure to eat at least 1 banana every day to continue the potassium and lots of water every day too. I would tend to think that the long riding would have something to do with it and you should try some seated stretches next time to see if it helps (I do transcription and sit ALL day so I know about the dependent leg position thing). I would also say that the lack of potassium and the dehydration (aka too much beer
) also had something to do with it. Did you wear your regular shoes? I have a pair of Earth sandals that are the only thing I wear besides my sneaks!!
When I have to sit for 6-7 hours at a time at my desk I do toe raises seated and heel raises to keep the fluid moving in my lower legs. During the summer months (or when DH gets the wood stove too hot) my feet swell a lot. There were some other stretches that my SIL suggested for the plane but I cannot remember them all. I can check with her again and PM you with all of them this weekend.

Well, not much.
