Discovery Science Center

We went to the discovery science center in Santa Ana today and i have to say it was a bit dissapointing. there were several good exhibits and fun things to do but i just wasn't blown away. anyone else have the same experience?

Well, we haven't been in about a year, but we have always been pretty happy with our experiences there. There was a lot to do and the kids have had a lot of fun. We used to have annual passes about 5 years ago when they were really little, and we spent many an afternoon there! I never could get them to try the bed of nails though!

oh, i did like the bed of nails, different than what i expected.

we bought the family pass special as it was only a few dollars more than a 1 day pass for our fam of four.

we recently moved to CA from Boston MA and were spoiled iwht the childrens museum in Boston.

Don't get me wrong, Discovery was good and the kids had lots of fun, i guess my expectations were higher since reading about it on the DIS.

we will be making return trips on our pass.

We were there last Sat. My son wanted to see the hockey stuff. While it was cool as it was different then the typical science center I thought otherwise it wasn't great. Mind you we were in a rush to go to the aquarium at Long Beach.
