Discovery Magic/New Fantasmic "rules"

When I called Disney Dining to book the "new" Fantasmic Dinner package, I told them we had the Discovery Magic Package (which, as I understood, was included). The CM told me they still needed to charge my credit card???? WHAT????? Has anyone tried to book it with the DM package and what did you experience?

Yes, a credit card is required for anyone using part of a package to "pay" for their meal. This is in case you don't cancel in time or are a no-show--they can charge your card. From what I was told, they can't charge to your vacation package if you're a no-show or don't cancel in time, so they need some way to penalize you, just in case. But its just for a guarantee, they won't charge your card. Or at least that is what I was told when I called.

There are a few things when you book with a package that requires a credit card for a guarantee, if even you won't be paying that way.

Just want to know how many magic wishes are required for the fantasmic meal. Also, the fantasmic meal does not include drink. However, the magic meal does include everything from non-alcoholic drink to tips. If you use your magic wish to pay for it, do you get drinks or no?

I too will be using the Discovery Magic plan. Based on what I know about the fantasmic dinner plan, don't think it is worthwhile for me to use the wish for.......

as far as I know it is only 1 wish - not sure about the drinks - that's a really, really good question. I don't think it's worthwhile for us either. I am just going to do the regular dinner.
