Discovery Launched!!!

I did. Sorry, I didn't see your post and posted one of my own. We saw the vapor trail for a couple of minutes.

I'm on the Space Coast and it was a beautiful launch! We could see it for about three minutes and it was so clear I could see the actually shuttle for quite a while!

I have this strong desire to ride Mission Space now! Way to go, NASA!

:cool1:

I work in the So Orlando Area, we saw most of the accent, a few clouds in the way. Seemed like it got up and out faster that normal, maybe it just looked that way because it was headed due east?

I watched on TV, and as soon as it cleared the tower, I went outside to try and look for the vapor trail, but we couldn't see anything from where we were.

I live on the Space Coast and was able to see it very clearly outside. Beautiful!

We live on the space coast as well and decided to go to a local beach to see it. It was great to see and I'm glad they are going back up again.

I was in Deltona two weeks ago and was looking forward to seeing the shuttle go off. Well it didn't and now I am back home :sad1: .

Pictures of the shuttle launch this morning. My pictures don't do it justice!!! IT WAS AWESOME. We got there about 6:30 this morning for the 10:39 launch. It was a thrill of a lifetime. I have been following space missions for many many years.

We watched from Space View park. It is across the river from the launch pads. It was a great place to watch from.
