Discovery Island Park?

I'm a newby and I haven't been to DW since I was about 10, which was way long ago, but I see Discovery Island Park on the map, but I can't find any info about it. What's up with that?

It closed several years ago. I don't know what they are doing with that area.

I think that part of Animal Kingdom has been renamed to Discovery Island since the original closed.

I miss Discovery Island I used to stay at FW as a kid and we always would spend an afternoon at Discovery Island. I guess now with AK there is no need for it but it would be nice if they did something productive with the island.
