Now I'm not encouraging this and I'd be far too terrified to do this, however I do think this is kind of cool.

I've always been fascinated by abandoned buildings and when it's Disney this definitely peaked my interest.

if u youtube river country some one else broke in and got pictures of river country. it's really neat to see. normally disney reuses and recycles, so to see this wasted land is abnormal. h/o... let me see if i can find the link

several disers have gone over to pop century and taken pictures.

someone also found the hand and wand from spaceship earth in a disney dump. it was only supposed to be up for 2000, but was kept up till 08(?) that thing took sooo much damage, it was time to come down!

We saw the old buildings at POP in April, it was pretty cool, even from a distance

We just got back from the POP and it is wired that they just quit building it. It doesn't seem very disney to just give up or leave something abandoned.

It was right after 9/11. Tourists stopped traveling for a long time. They couldn't afford to finish it if no one was going to stay in it. Now they're cleaning them up and making a new resort out of them. I believe its going to be family suites themed with different animation (cars, little mermaid, lion king, etc)
