Discovery Cove

We are planning an Orlando trip for this November. We ALWAYS do Disney but I thought for a change we would do the Discovery cove, Seaworld thing. I have been searching on the net but am getting very confused. My kids are 4 and 1 at the time of going. If we do Discovery cove is that right we get free passes to Seaworld and Aquatica for the rest of our stay? Do we have to do discovery cove first day then? Also, it appears the on site renaissance hotel would be a nice option...anyone stay there before? We will be there for one week total. Any tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Admission to DC includes 14 days of admission to both SeaWorld and Aquatica. The SW/AQ admission can be used either before your DC day, after DC, or a combination of both . You can also add on 14 days of admission to Busch Gardens for an additional $20 pp, if you so choose. And if you stay at a SW onsite hotel like the Renaissance, then you get complimentary transportation to BG as well.

Your kiddos would not be old enough to do the dolphin swim at DC (you have to be minimum six years old), but don't let that dissuade you. DC is an amazing park even without the dolphin swim. Remember, too, that your DC admission includes a hot buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, all your snacks, all your drinks (including alcohol), and a free 6 x 8 family photo. Parking is also free.

I have not personally stayed at the Renaissance, but the location can't be beat (its right across the street from SW). It has a great water play area for wee ones as well. For our last SW trip, we stayed at the Residence Inn which provides a free hot breakfast as one of the included perks (if you want to check out the RI, see the link in my signature to my Christmas TR). The Residence Inn also has one bedroom suites which might be nice for your family, to put the little folk to bed while you can still watch TV in the living room.

Fantastic!! Thank you for your input. Now I'm assuming I could upgrade my Seaworld ticket to the QQ (I think that's what it's called) tickets if I wanted. I am super excited.

No upgrading needed as far as your tickets go .

All you will need to do is visit the Expedia Travel Desk located in the lobby of whatever onsite hotel you choose. They give you vouchers that you redeem for Quick Queue passes at Guest Services when you arrive at SeaWorld.

You can pick up your vouchers for the following day the day prior. For example, if you arrive at noon on a Saturday, you can go directly to the Expedia desk after check-in and get Quick Queue passes for that day (if still available) and also get passes for Sunday. Sunday morning after 7:15 am you can pick up the vouchers for Monday's Quick Queue, etc.

Your admission ticket to the park itself stays the same .
