Have you been? For kids that are 6 do they require a birth certificate or any formal proof of age?
Was it worth the money?:surfweb:

Never been, but we are certainly going this December. A few things that peaked our interest.

Book now through mid August and get 14 day tickets free to Aquatica or Seaworld. (and for $20 you can get from them a parking pass good for all 14 days at Sea world or aquatica)
Use promo code AMXDM10 to get a discount, saved us $50 / ticket
You may want to budget $125 for a photo CD while you're there, they have under water photographers. They will also film a dvd of you with the dolphins, I think it's $75. (We'll likely skip the DVD, we have a wedding one that we never watch, but we'll most certainly get the pictures.)
Consider brining or purchasing a water proof camera. I have two water proof digital cameras and will most certainly kill the batteries on both taking pictures that day!

Never been either, have always wanted to. I always said we would this year (last trip with out oldest DD for a while, all the kids are old enough to do it.) But unfortnately it just isn't something we can do financially. Our dates are still $250 a person for 5 people. But I have a friend who did it and still says that apart from the birth of her kids, it was the most amazing experience of her life.

I thought about just sending the kids, but 2 of them can't go without a paid adult so that didn't work. But based on what she has said (many times) if I could I'd go in a heartbeat. Have Fun!

Its definatley worth it, even just for the one experience. We went in 2004, and although I probably wouldnt want to go again, just for the fact that we did everything, we loved it. Theres not much of a chance in everyones lives to swim with sting rays, tropical fish, and ofcourse dolphins, and its something you can look back on and if your anything like me, you'll be glad you experienced it.

However, saying that, If your not a fan of swimming or dont intend to do the dolphin swim, theres very little on offer, apart from sunbathing, which may seem like a waste of money.

I'd also recommend purchasing the dvd, its shot beautifully and really is a great watch. As well as this, it may be useful to buy a disposable underwater camera before you go, I dont think you can take it in the dolphin pool, but you can use it with the sting rays and the tropical fish coves.

Hope you enjoy!

I may be wrong, but I believe the promo code you listed is only for American Express card holders. :confused3 But, because of it...I applied for an AM EX. :rolleyes1 After all, it will save me $200!!

The AMX code is for American Express holders. But warning, there are blackout periods but they are not disclosed in any obvious ways online.

The system allowed me to put in the code and go through the entire process without any warning that my dates were blacked out. I assumed since it is tied to you paying with AMEX it would show up in the final transaction. It did not. So I emailed them and the reply I got was that there are blackout times and I did not qualify.

I am now going to call them to change half our party to NON-dolphin swim, which will bring me back to what I thought I was spending. Those of us not doing the dolphin part will just enjoy watching the others and take pictures. This will be my DS and I's third visit and we have never done the dolphin swim and yet still had a wonderful day, so I'm not okay not doing it.

That's pretty sorry. :headache:

Thinking of adding this to our upcoming Feb WDW trip. Means getting a vehicle etc., to get there as we stay on WDW property.
Will it be worth it? What kind of prices are we looking at? Husband's good friend said was an experience of a lifetime :)
I think we would both do the dolphin swim. Is there a big price different with/without?

We took our 5 year old in 2007 and we loved every minute of it.
A once in a lifetime type experience that we have wonderful memories of.
A MUST!!!

It's so worth it!! But be sure to book well in advance, it's pretty difficult to get in on short notice.
