Hi All,

Has anyone after swimming at discovery cove become quite ill - my husband the evening of our swim became really unwell with sickness, abdo pain and extreme lethargy - this lasted the last few days of our holiday and approx 2 weeks after we came home - he is normally a very fit healthy person. Went to GP when home and had a blood test where his liver results were abnormal - query Hepatitis A which is caught in water!!!:confused3 We are over a year since this happened and his bloods still are not normal - which are now being looked into further - was just wondering if anyone else has heard of or experienced problem from post visit to Discovery Cove?

Water all appeared clean except when we swam with rays and they were feeding them - water was very murky with fish bits in?!

Oh no sorry to hear that your dh has been so unwell. Have you contacted discovery cove at all ??

Been twice no problems thankfully. Only time we have ever had a problem is DS having swimmers ear. Started in Orlando, ended up seeing Doctor on Disney ship, cost $150 for him to look in his ear and tell us what it was.

We were all fine after our visit to Discovery Cove. Hope your DH fully recovers soon. :flower3:

Not sure Discovery Cove would of been the cause as Hepatitis A has an incubation period of about two to seven weeks, just a coincidence it came out then I think.

I have been to DC 3 times now and never ill in any visit.

Hope your DH is better soon :)

Claire ;)

I hope your DH is better soon :)

We visited DC in April 08 and never had any problems, touch wood. We're back there in May and hoping all will be fine.
