Yay or Nay?

We have just returned from our Xmas trip and had a fab time. Weather was great. On the cooler days we did malls/parks, on the warmer days we had pool days.

So, we intend to return next Xmas and I need to plan something interesting for Xmas Day...

Never been to Discovery Cove so I thought a Dolphin Swim package would be the way to go...

Anyone been to DC at this time of year? Can you still enjoy the park if the weather is cooler?

I guess it would be wise to have a back up plan?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Ali.

We have been twice to DC, both times in December but we have been lucky to have warm weather. If it was a cool day personally I wouldn't want to go as some of the pools are cooler. For me, I enjoy relaxing on the lounger or going to the bird aviary while my family enjoy the snorkelling etc. Full wetsuits are available and will keep you warmer. DC offer 1 complimentary change to your reservation, so subject to availability you may be able to change the booking if cooler temperatures are forecast.

As guest numbers are limited it won't be any busier than any other day. The only thing to consider is that normally they recommend you arrive early so you may have to open your presents later :goodvibes

We love DC but I wouldn't do it on Christmas Day as I feel that to enjoy it fully, you need a warm day. I agree with Mrs Doubtfire, for example, the lazy river is wonderful but definitely not a place to venture into on a cooler day.
