Discovery Cove video

I know that they will video you at Discovery Cove. Has anybody bought one of them ? I'm wondering what the quality is like.

We found the quality of the video to be fine.

The big drawback though is that the tape isn't just your party. If there are 4 of you in a group of 8, the video recording features everyone so you'll have a lot of tape of strangers.

How many are in your party & is everyone in your party doing the dolphin swim?

If you own your camcorder you can take your own video if 1 of you are not doing the swim, or you can split your group & you can video each other.

We thought that the tape was O.K. but a bit amateurish, although we would have bought it anyway as a reminder of a brilliant day. At the begining of the tape there is an introduction to DC, about 20 mins or so and then your GROUPS dolphin swim, it is not just your family but the other members of your group. when we went we were a group of 8, a mother and her son, a young couple and the four of us, so we have some video of all of us. The only drawback is that you can't see any of the video before you buy it unlike the pictures that you can view at your leisure until you have decided.

Anyone remember how much they charge for the video? I expect I can find that out somewhere, just wondering if you know and whether you thought it was worth the money? I suppose memories are priceless anyway.

I seem to recall that the video is about $60. We won't be taking our camera (long story). I will be taking a digital camera with 3 minutes of video, so I will possibly use that, depending on how much memory it uses.

We are not big spenders generally (on clothes and souvenirs etc), so might have more to splash out on something like this video.
