DH and I are dying to do Discovery Cove. However, we always visit Orlando in December or January. Is this feasible? I know the water is kept at 80 degrees but how often are you not in the water?? Can you cover up when walking from place to place?? :paw:

Is this feasible? If it wasn't, why would they open? Of course it is - lot's of people swim in Dec and Jan. Floridians call those people tourists.

I know the water is kept at 80 degrees but how often are you not in the water?? Other than the Dolphin swim (if booked) and lunch you make your own schedule.

Can you cover up when walking from place to place?? I saw no naked people :goodvibes yes, if it is cool most will be wearing their wet suit all day....

Remember that not ALL the water is kept at 80°f. It is kept to a temperature that the Marine Animals prefer. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm pretty sure it is not 80°f. Also remember, that it is salt water, some people forget that and coming from someone who lives on a beach, it is hilarious to watch the people who do and come up with a mouth full of saltwater!

Yes you can cover up and other than the dolphin swim, everything is at your leisure. Also remember that they give you wetsuits to use, which will help keep you warm.

Cheers!

That was a cute post :rotfl: ....especially with thoughts of people running around in various stages of nekked!

I'm surprising DS and Hubby in May when we go down to Disney, so I'm trying to take in all the info I can.

I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! :cool1:
