Hi all !!!
I have booked discovery cove in october can any of you help with a few questions?:surfweb:

As it says its an all inclusive day out what is the food like ?I am vegetarian and have found the other parks in orlando not to veggie friendly?

Also how deep is the water? as i have my six year old nephew with us for the dolphin swim.

Thanks guys:thumbsup2

Hi

I went in March 2007, the whole experience was amazing. The food was incredible. I think they will have some veggie entrees for ya.

The water isn't super deep. I'm like 5'0, and where my group was at the water was a little bit below my shoulders. Plus your wearing a wetsuit or a vest, which will keep you afloat. The water isn't too deep.
It's only deeper when you swim out and the dolphin pulls you back in, but eve then its not super deep. I think the 6yr old will be fine.

Everything there was Amazing. I hope to go back someday.

Parts of the lazy river are 8' deep and when you swim out for the dolphin tow the water is over 20' deep. BUT as Megan says everyone has to wear some sort of floatation device, so your 6 year old will be fine.
The food is excellent, not only the main meals but the snack bars, which are also free.:thumbsup2

Have a great time.

They have vegetarian options (I'm one too and was there last October) but if you have other dietary needs (eg., vegan or allergies), you should let them know ahead of time so they can prepare a special meal for you. WDW is also very veggie friendly - you just have to let them know ahead of time and then also let the wait staff know.

Your nephew should be fine - we first did DC when our daughter 5. He will have a life vest (or shortie wetsuit) on plus other than the dolphin swim, you will be standing on ledges that are much shallower. For the river swim (not a lazy river), they have noodles you can use.

We're going to DC in Sept. We've heard that using Mears shuttle is a good way to get there and back from the resorts. Has anyone use them? How well has that worked? Any problems or tips?

Thanks!

We were staying at All Star Music. We called Mears the night before and they took two of us, there and back for only $32 round trip total for the both of us. We walked out of our resort entrance and there was a mears taxi waiting for us. It was very nice.
