We are booked for discovery cove august 2005  Are you allowed to keep the snorkle and face mask or do you need to give them back?
Also, what strength is the sun cream we are all fair and we need HIGH factors?
Lastly,do you have to wear wet suits...oh my god i would look like 'the only gay in the village' (little britain)?? :rotfl:

:confused3

thanks sharon

I seem to remember you can keep your snorkle.

They provide dolphin-friendly high factor sun cream.

No - you don't have to wear wet suits, just the life vests that look like body warmers! (hope that makes sense!)

Enjoy!

Sharon, I don't know if you get to keep the snorkel and glasses we gave ours back. You have the choice of the full suit or just the jacket, I had the full suit but dh just had the jacket. I can't remember the factor on the sun cream maybe someone else will know but I would imagine it was high, they give you theirs as it is animal friendly. I took my suit off though later on when we had a walk around and whilst I was sunbathing.

We saw tons of people taking the snorkle and mask with them so we asked if you were allowed to keep them, the answer was yes but we prefer the masks back. We kept our two childrens and handed all the rest back.

The sun tan cream we got was factor 30, really thick stuff thats hard to rub in, should be fine for fair skinned people. They do sell a range of different factors in the store but we just asked the guy at the wet suit site and he gave us some more.

They have full length and cropped at the knee wet suits and jackets.

We all got jackets and I was fine but the water is very cold where the dolphins and fish are and for a lot of the time you are just standing still. After the dolphon swim we changed the childrens jackets for cropped wet suits before they swam with the fish and they found them much warmer.

You can change from wet suit to jacket and back again and there was never a Q.

We went to Discovery Cove on 11 June 2005, we were told we could keep the snorkel, the sun cream was factor 30 and like porridge and had to put on!!

We all had wet suits to the knee, and never once felt cold in either the reef or the dolphin pool, it also means that you don't have to try to put the sun cream all over you body, only your face, arms and the bottom half of your legs.
