Hello, my husband and I are planning a special trip this May to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary and my completion of Graduate School. We are getting an adults only vacation for 4 nights. We own DVC so I have reserved a villa on disney property, but we are only doing one disney park epcot. We want to do discovery cove one day. I am looking for suggestions to make it a very special day. Also, considerating doing the sea venture. Any information on that would be appreciated :)

I haven't done the Sea Venture experience but have really enjoyed the Dolphin Experience with DW and DD14 (when she was 12, 11, 10 and 9). I might enjoy it less if DD14 wasn't there. We have reserved a Cabana all but the first time. We enjoy having a central place for meeting, but I admit the expense is probably a little much considering that we are out in park most of the time. We enjoy the uncrowded and relaxing environment of DC. If it was just my wife and I, I might just visit the park with no add-ons and splurge on an anniversary dinner later.

Discovery Cove, by design, is a very special experience unto itself. So if money is a concern, you won't need to do or add a thing to make it a very awesome and amazing celebratory day :goodvibes .

If the budget will allow for a splurge, without hesitation I would say add on the elite package. It will give you a private cabana with personal attendant for the day (which is a wonderful little oasis for you to kick back and relax together when you aren't enjoying the park activities....its very romantic too, with fresh flowers adorning each towel on the lounges), the large photo package (which will include the CD of all your photos for the day, the DVD of your swim, multiple prints, a large poster, key chains, a DC frame, and even a beautiful leather photo album), a personalized buoy delivered by a dolphin during your swim (you get to choose the message), and a few other little items like a tote bag.

We have never tried SeaVenture, but it also looks very cool.

The Dolphin Experience was fun and we loved Sea Venture. You will be a little nervous getting in and I do recommend you take a quick swim in the nearby snorkel area to acclimated to the water. Also keep in mind that the SV experience will last 20-30 minutes.

Not sure if the Cabana add on would be worth it, since my wife and I were rarely at our chairs. However, I would probably get the Cabana if I was part of a bigger group.
