I'm considering surprising my family with a visit to Discovery Cove this March. Has anyone been recently? Will it be too cold to enjoy a full day there?

We were there a few weeks ago, it was a wonderful day. The weather was quite warm and although the water was very cold in the coral reef and for the dolphin swim, we didn't feel it too much as you can choose to wear long or short wetsuits. It was the highlight of our trip.
:)

Don't know what the weather's been like, but we went in January and it was wonderful!

It will be warm enough. In fact, it's warm enough right now.

The water is the same temperature no matter what, and that's cold. To get ready for your visit, take a cold shower, that's what it feels like, but after a few minutes you block it out. Start with your shower where you normally have it, nice and warm. Now slowly turn the dial until you've got it all the way on cold.
They do heat the water in the lazy river and they have warm showers.

I was there on the 9th of march and it was so warm. We didn't wear the wetsuits and we didn't miss it at all. The water in the river is heated up and the coral and dolphin water wasn't that bad when we got used to it. Not a bad time to go at all.

We were there March 10 and it felt like mid-summer. Low 80s and sunny the entire time - we switched from wetsuits to vests within 45 minutes of arrival because we were all too warm.

I was there March 18th and that was the coldest day for awhile. The water temperature was warmer than the air until mid afternoon. Everyone had wetsuits on when in the dolphin lagoon and coral reef. It wasn't bad if you just stayed in the water. Discovery Cove is sooo much fun. I want to go back. Being cold and shivering a good chunk of the day was so worth it.
