We are looking into going to DC while we are on our Universal vacation in late Feb. but I am concerned about the weather? I'm worried it will be too cold to enjoy being in the water all day? If we go we definately want to do the dolphin encounter but that's alot of money for 4 people if we're going to freeze!?! Anyone been around that time?

We went last year in Feb. I believe it was the 10th, and we had the best day. It was 85 degrees and very warm. Even if the day is cool, just take the full wet suit. The water in the lazy river, and pool areas are very warm. Sting ray bay, and the dolphin areas are cooler, I think about 60 degrees, but you don't notice it in the wetsuit to much.
We loved our day there, and thought it was worth every penny!!! So much so that we booked again for our upcoming March break trip!!!! It is always taking a chance booking this cause you could go and have the worst weather, rain, thunderstorms, or most recently sleet and snow. Now that would be awful. So let's hope there cold spell is over and it is going to be beautiful!

We went last Feb and it was about 65 degrees out but we still had a great time. The lazy river is so awesome........very warm!

Our family of four went two years ago in feb. It was mostly warm and sunny, when the clouds came over it was a little chilly, but not enough to spoil our day. The dolphin swim pool was a shock to the system, but we soon got used to it.I dont think the weather effects the running of DC, only if there are really bad thunder storms, and there are not many of those in february.Have fun.

Also, plan the DC day early in your trip. You can change your reservation once without any penalty..... so if the weather is not looking great and the forecast is calling for a different nice day, then switch. Feb is like Nov, a mix of weather, but if you are in the area for several days, you are likely to get a warm one in there.

Went in Feb 08. Once the sun came out it got up to the mid 70s but it was definitely a bit chilly in the morning. They had these big standing heater things around and there were a few people standing around them to keep warm. I wore the short length wetsuit and felt fine through the day, the first water I went into was the dolphin pool and my understanding is they keep it at a certain temp, which is a little cooler than the other pools, and it was a little jolting to walk into but once you're used to it, all is well.

I didn't realize we could that. makes me feel better. We are scheduled to go on the 12th of March, so I will keep an eye on the weather, and if need be we will change our ressie, since we have another 9 days after this we could change it to, and 4 before that. Thanks

We were at DC last Thurs. It was sunny but in the low 40s in the morning. The wetsuits helped. The lazy river was 80 degrees and the reef pool was a little cooler .I would definately go back it was a great day even with the chill in the air.Go and have fun.
