Discovery Cove in Feb????

We are planning a WDW trip in Feb - President's Week.
I would love to go to DC and so would friends who live in Florida and would be meeting us.
Since the weather at that time is anyone's guess, I don't want to book until a couple of days before - once the weather forecast is more reliable.

Anyone know how quickly they sell out at that time of year?

They only let in 1000 guests a day, and it books up very quickly.

I have phoned today about booking for the 31st jan and she said there are still a few spaces left that day, so i'm phoning back tomorrow and booking it, don't want to take a chance, but i want that day because of a birthday, maybe if you can be more flexible with your dates, but i would say if you definately want to swim withe dolphins then book to be on the safe side.

I agree that they book up quickly, if you are going the sooner you book the better.

I would be wary about the weather, we went to Discovery Cove in March 2005, the water was freezing.
Generally February/March the weather is unpredictable, if you are unlucky like we were it can affect your day at DC.

The water temperature is the same no matter when you go, it's freezing cold. Turn on your shower, leave it on cold, get in, and that's what it feels like. It's mind over matter, you block it out.

I've been up to the parks many times in February. The cold temperature of the morning is usually 55, but then it warms up to 75 in the afternoon, which is perfect. You will have a vest on, which will keep you warm. And I'd wear a few t-shirts under it. Buy the cheap rubber shoes from Walmart or Target and that will keep your feet warm, as well as protect them.

You could start your morning by walking to the bird avairy, feeding the birds, then going in the water.
