Discovery Cove - How early to arrive?

We're staying at All Star Music and planning on just taking a cab. What time would you suggest we leave the hotel (and what time should be plan on getting there) to get their early to get one of the first few swims? Will there be a place for us to wait or will there be security or someone kicking us out? Thanks!

I wanted to have breakfast and go to the Aviary before my swim, so I called ahead of time and asked for an 11am swim. They could not guarantee it, but we got it. They are so accomodating. The birds are very hungry early on, so the next time we go, I will probably ask to do the same thing. We got there about 830 to no line at all, getting checked in was super quick. So if you have a time in mind, you might want to call and have them put it on the reservation.
