Discovery Cove help and advice.

should also add that i did use there suncream but after the dolphin swim we switched to our own.

Do you get an ample supply of suncream from them? I'm quite obsessive about applying suncream to me and DD.
thanks

We got sachets in our snorkel bags, and in the changing room they have supplies in there,so I would say you'd get more than enough.:thumbsup2

actually although i had read this i had taken my own to use on the way home...the information given in the place was " our suncream in here should you choose to use it"

you arent given enough for the whole day maby yes if you have the wet suit on, but after the sample you are given you are expected to buy it.

Not when we was there, they have it on offer too in the changing facilities...You can use your own as long as you arent entering the water with dolphins so on..I would guess, and you are correct you can use it at your own descretion.

we were only offerd it once from the snorkle cart, the snorkle cart was then removed early on and stalls appeard with the full bottle for sale. there was none in the toilets.

we were also told if we diddnt use the sun cream to return it .....that was last friday..maby they have changed things a little, i can only go on what happend when we were there

when my bag was searched no one mentioned that i had a big bottle of my own stuff in there

i assume if it was such a big no no something would have been said after all it was only the cream and my purse in the bag since i diddnt need anything eles

just to clarify because i feel a bit got at, i diddnt take the cream with intent to break rules it was for my journey home, it was when we were told "should we choose to youse theres" which suggests there is a choice i decided to use it ater my sim which was early on

We went in July this year and were given one sachet each, we never saw any more free sachets just the big bottles that you could buy in the shops.
We did see loads of people using their own sunscreen, the spray on ones that you can buy from Walmart.

The sachets are Panama Jack - the difficult part is getting the stuff off !!
It looks like a very thick cottage cheese :lmao:

Definitely not. My mum (67)did it in July with other members of our party. She even wore one of the wet suits as well.

We have paid for my inlaws to go (very soon) they are 67 and 73, you are never too old to have fun.....

:scared1: only 55? at 55 I expect to be doing exactly same at 55 as I do at 41. Taking DMIL at Xmas again, she will be doing Tower of terror, Rock n Roller coaster, anything we do she will do and she is 75. :goodvibes

Thank you - I forgot how everyone is young at Disney!!!:goodvibes

Would I dress like this in UK the size I am? not a chance. Over there I will do anything. In America there is always someone older, larger, crazier than you. I don't think its possible to be out of place.:goodvibes

We have done it twice and really enjoyed both times. It is a really good idea to book this for a day the other parks are busy (Saturday or a public holiday perhaps) as it never gets crowded.
I would endorse what others say about arrivng early, although they will allocate you a time for the dolphin swim at check-in you can request a particular time if they are not booked up they will change it. We thought the best time was late morning i.e. after you've had a chance to get your bearings and visited the aviary but before lunch.
