Hi All --

Anyone done discovery cove with the preschool set? Is there enough for them to do to make it worthwhile? Our kids (4 and 2) love aquariums and water parks, so we're trying how to best use our allotted 3 days outside WDW.

Thanks!
Heather

Hi,

From what I can remember from our 2005 trip with my kids ages then 13 and 8the highlight of the trip of course was the dolphin swim, but I think it's ages 6and over.

There's a zero depth entry pool on a sandy beach and it will take you thru to the lazy river, but the current is strong. The snorkel reef was incredible. You walk in onto a ledge and then there is a drop off and deeper water.

I personally would wait until they are at least 6 years or older for you all to thoroughly enjoy everything the park has to offer, because it's so costly.

I do think this place is worth every penny spent, I just think it would be like any other day at the beach with the two little ones, in a much more themed and controlled environment.

My family is going next month and we have a 3 year old and 1 year old. I know they won't get the full experience out of it but I don't think it will be a big issue. My wife and I are excited about it, and I think the kids will find plenty to do on the beach and in the shallow water with us. We plan on doing the lazy river and the bird sanctuary and enjoy the atmosphere. Discovery Cove is almost like a combination of the beach, a water park and a zoo. Our girls love them all.
