Discovery Cove Cabana - 7 of us?

I was thinking about getting the Elite Package as I know we will end up wanting to buy the photos and DVD. Also want to be guaranteed shade all day. We are visiting with my brothers family. Only problem is there are 7 of us, 4 adults a 12 year old and two 6 year olds. Now I doubt very much that there will be a time when all 7 of us will be at the cabana as we will be busy exploring with the children. However it would be nice for the adults to take it in turns to have somewhere in the shade to relax.

So will we be allowed to rent one even though there are 7 in our party?

If we can't, is there plenty of shade around, umbrella's etc.

This is our first DC visit even though its our 10th Orlando visit so I want it to be special. I was also going to surprise everyone on the day.

It depends on who you get, one year they allowed 7 without a problem. Our 7th was an infant, the following year the same group of people and the infant was only 2 now they said that nope I had to book 2 of them. We ended up invited more family so they allowed me to have 1 package and then they booked 1 early without a package and they were next to each other.

Kinda sucks But if your reservation says 7 they won't allow you to book it. Now if your reservation says 6 and the names on both reservations are not the same (last name too) then they don't seem to mind those. Then it is up to your cabana attendant to say something if they feel they are being overworked.

Now the first year maybe we got away with it because the group next to us had the same last name so they might have thought we booked 2

I am not really sure what is included with the elite package, but as far as the cabana, I think there is plenty of shade available at the park and plenty of relaxing areas. It is not really a big park at all, where your feet will get tired or anything going from place to place.
