Discovery Cove buy DVD or video self?

Going to book our first visit to Discovery Cove in October. I have heard that they video you in the water with the dolphin and then you can buy the DVD. How many people are in the water at one time (i assume that they video just your session???) How much does the DVD cost to buy? Or is it worth us booking our sessions separately (only me and DH) and videoing each other????

Hope i can answer a few questions for you..

You usually go in group's of around 6 at a time.Though there might be a number of groups in the water at the same time.
They only video your group for you.

I can't remember the cost of the dvd but it isn't cheap.I think we paid a good couple of hundred $ for a video and some photos.

I don't think it would be worth booking separately as you are quite a distance off the beach area where people could video you from.Though people do, but i personally would rather pay the $ and have a good close up video/dvd.

Another benefit of buying the DVD is that you have the copyright on all the photographs taken so you can print out as many copies of all the photos that you want, you can send them via email or use them as backgrounds on your computer etc etc.

When you add up the cost of a few of their photographs the DVD becomes good value as you will then have all the photographs they took of your swim.

Hi,

we did both video'd ourself and got a DC video, we had to take turns in the water with DD being to young.

It was a bit annoying as they were unwilling to combine the two videos together, even though it would be very easy to do.

We also bought photo's And total price was expensive but worth it.

We are trying to convert them onto DVD at the mo.

When we did DC in December 04 they did not offer a DVD only a video. We were with another family (who we didn't know) for our dolphin swim, but it was not a problem. The video basically films the whole group so everyone's happy.

It's a day out that I won't forget for a long time.
