The 10 day forecast predicts 60% chance of thunderstorms for early next week and hopefully that will change but it did get me thinking about our day at DC. If there is a thunderstorm at DC, are there many places to go inside/seek shelter from the storm? I think in all the pics I've seen, I've never even noticed any buildings!

Good question !
I was wondering that too :confused3
We are going there in 16 days :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

You could certainly go to the restaurant. It is outdoor eating under an open air roof. You could also head to one of the locker areas, or swimvest/wetsuit areas, or possibly one of the cabanas where you watch your pre-dolphin swim movie.

I'd head for the cave in the lazy river:laundy::scared1:

Thankfully the forecast has already improved.:goodvibes which I am very glad about becasue it doesn't sound like it's a very good place to be if it storms!

Just in case none of you have gone yet...we had a monster thunderstorm at the end of our DC day. We were herded into the bathrooms and underneath the shelters where the lockers were. There seemed to be plenty of room. The storm was massive and we were "locked down" for probably 30 minutes.

The workers were really good about re-uniting family members. They were quite insistent that no one go outside needlessly and NO ONE was allowed out into the parking lot area.

They take storms seriously.
