Can I just take a moment in this TR to VENT! What is UP with Airtran and Delta now charging $15.00 per FIRST checked bag!!!!!?????
We used to fly Airtran, it is the most convenient and cheapest airline for us.
I thought they started the baggage fee's due to high gas prices, well........ gas prices are lower than ever and now they add these fees. Makes me so angry. I usually buy our tickets in December or January but now I have to wait longer for Southwest to release their rates because we will be using them for sure now!!!! Southwest doesn't charge for first OR second bag. Anyone know when they will release June dates for air travel?

We just used Southwest for the 1st time in October/November for our Disney trip. They were great! We usually fly Spirit and they now charge per bag and per seat each way. It would have cost us over $2000.00 to fly to Florida using Spirit after tickets, seat fees and luggage fees.

We flew Southwest for the first time in a long time for our recent November trip and they are awesome! They were so nice, handed out snacks (twice) for free, and gave our DD a coloring/activity pad and neat pencil/crayon.

Are you signed up for the "Ding" e-mails? We got a really great rate, but we didn't buy our flight until the month before we left.

Your restaurant choices look GREAT!!!! What an amazing treat to get to eat at all those wonderful Disney restaurants!!! This trip truly is going to be the best trip EVER!

LOVE the Amazing Race surprise Tim pulled off---how wonderfully creative and fun!! What a guy!

The airfare thing is a NIGHTMARE!!! I wish we didn't have so many problems flying out of this area with cost and everything!!! Good luck with Southwest---I'm hoping for good luck for you guys in June, and for some extra luck for us in September when we probably go back.

We did Southwest last year too and i loved them, we found a hotel in Columbus that included leaving our car so it was a win win. What I worry about this year is they will release rates through June 28th, but we're going until July so I don't want to buy one ways but hope I don't miss out on big deals. I wish we had Spirit here. I hate luggage fees!

It sure does! Yes, I'm signed up for ding emails, although I'm such a huge planner I don't know if I could ever wait that long for a ding : )

Thanks, we can't wait to try them out. I'm already making changes though based on what we are hearing about the 4th of July so stay tunned! I'll let you know how June goes for us for Southwest and will send you pixie dust for September!

So............. after talking with a good friend who works for Disney and lives in Orlando her advice to us is to be in the parks on JULY 3rd instead of July 4th and enjoy the fireworks on that night since they are the same as the 4th. Anyone else heard this? So we will be moving some dining ressie's around. I think we'll do Chef Mickey's on the 3rd and head over to Magic Kingdom or Epcot for fireworks on the 3rd (based on whatever Tour Guide Mike comes out with for a best day on the 3rd)
Then on the 4th we'll do parks in the morning and take a night off that night for hanging by the pool and eating at the Surf and Turf Club at SSR. Sounds good and crowd avoiding to me
I'll move Tuttio Itlalia at Epcot to July 5th because I do still want to eat there.
We get to make our reservations for SSR this week so wish us luck, I'll post when we do.

We have an almost 300 dollar credit with them, so do not want to throw that away, so will have to use them one more time

But after that, back to southwest for us too

I have to say what a wonderful husband you have, but you already know that
You and your kids are so lucky. Love the Amazing Race he put on for you.

Can't wait to read more of your upcoming trip (wow 16 days) Right now I'm deep in the post Disney blues. We took our kids for the first time 2 weeks ago and it truly was magical. Such a wonderful family experience.

Glad I get to live vicariously through everyone on the DIS' trip reports.

I flew Jetblue in October and it was so great. I loved them. I will be flying them again in 2 weeks from today when we go to Disney. so excited.

Yeah, it does. A 300 dollar credit would really help though, I would use it too. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving too.

Thanks, so glad you enjoyed the race. Yes, I do have a great husband, we have a wonderful relationship and I am truly thankful for that . Yes, 16 days, can't wait!!!! I am glad you have fun in Disney, the blues are bad after but that's when you start planning the next trip to get that disney high again .Glad you enjoy the reports.
