Discovered the best clothing combo for summer heat-Microfiber microfiber microfiber

Great tips! We are going July 31rst and would love to know where some other good places to shop might be? Would like to find some tees for the guys and some cute sport stuff for me:rotfl:!

Sporting goods stores. Target (in their athletic wear section). And sometimes stores like Marshall's, Ross and TJ Maxx have athletic clothes that are moisture-wicking. I've seen cute shorts, skirts and tops at Marshall's that are meant for golfing.

Old Navy also carries some great moisture wicking shirts. I love them! I think stuff and save is still going on now too.

Last year was our first August trip too and we swear by the moisture wicking clothes. I even went as far as buying stay dry socks for all of us and got the addidas brand at Kohl's. Another thing that helped us too was during the day we wore our moisture wicking socks and sneakers since we we tend to tour at a much quicker pace to cover more ground. But we always head back to our resort for downtime and pool time in the afternoon so once we change up for dinner, we all tend to switch to our flip flops/sandals for the rest of the night. We go at a much slower pace in the evenings and giving our feet a break from socks & sneakers, worked wonders.

Just wondering if anyone has new or different recommendations to add, now that all the summer stuff is on sale I was thinking of picking up more for next year & figured it can't hurt to see if anyone made improvements.

I have never seen the socks & am curious, do they breathe? Cause rubbing? I never used anything but cotton before but would try it especially for our upcoming camping trip- feet always get a beating camping if its damp.

I got a cute khaki golf scooter/skirt at Target in ghe sporting goods section. I've worn it all over the city on 95 degree + days. I'm sure it would be comfy in Disney.

I've replaced all my cotton undies (I HATE the word 'panties;)) with microfiber ones, and I've been wearing them this summer, and LOVE them. I've tried a few brands, but love the Jockey, 'No pantyline promise" ones, the best. They are light as a feather, shorts pull up smoothly over them, and take up less room in my drawer. Much cooler. I've not found any microfiber bras in my size. I have also found a couple of Adidas climatecool v neck tees,( which are the underarmour type material) at Kohls in a XXL size, so they wouldn't be as tight as most of them are, and wore one walking in the morning and they felt great. Hard to find in the looser size, though, but to my surprise, Walmart has Danskin Now, in a 'loose' fit style, that are only $5.97, and great colors! I bought several to wear, and am even going to use them to put an iron on graphic that I had Amy form the DISigns forum make up for me.

I second the super cheap tops at Walmart. I was surprised at the low price, but they are decent quality. Target now has a sports bra that looks a lot more like a regular bra. It's got hooks in the back and cups to help avoid the dreaded "uni****" :rolleyes1
Another benefit of the moisture wicking apparel is water rides! Takes much less time to dry if you happen to get soaked on Kali. Or the daily downpours we encountered last October.
