Has anyone done this? We have boys 9, 7, and almost 4 and it seems like something that would be fun for them. Is it worth the $$? Also, any discounts for AP or Disney Visa (we have the Visa and will be getting the APs when we visit in a few weeks)?

We ultimately decided to do the Welcome to DL tour instead (I have some other add-ons like BBB and just couldn't justify the $59*5), but I can tell you there is an AP discount--20% off. Not sure if there is a Disney Visa one. I only read good things about the tour.

There is an AP discount and yes it's worth it! We did in Nov with my 4 kids (ages 9, 8, 4 & 2 at the time), plus my mom and we all LOVED it! So much fun!

We did this for DS10's birthday along with his little brother who is 4. We had a blast. The kids loved every minute of it, and the adults had fun just watching the boys enjoy themselves. My DS10 still talks about it. I think dis member I'mtooexcitedtosleep did this tour with their son and their review can be found on the main site. We definitely thought it was worth it, but we also go into disney with the understanding that you pay a premium price for everything.

I signed up to do it for DS9 and I next month, it sounds like a fun scavenger hunt!

I like that you get no-wait entrance to Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Buzz - that alone is almost worth the $$ to me, especially if you are going during a busy season!

You also get a private meet-n-greet with Mickey, and a treat (I've heard cocoa in cold weather, apple juice/slushy in warmer) as well as souvenir medallion or something.

I think it will be a fun extra to experience once

OH and yes, we got a discount with our AAA card, just have to be sure to show it when we check in.

We did this tour for DD's 6th birthday. DS was 3 and a half at the time, and it was a lot of walking for him. Another parent in the group brought her stroller for her 3 year old, but we didn't bother to bring ours. The kids loved the tour and DH and I had a lot of fun too. All of the kids on the tour got to know eachother and had fun exploring Disneyland together with the tour guides (who were fantastic!) You can read about it in my trip report, starting on pg 4. But there are a LOT of spoilers in my TR, so don't read it if you want to play along with the treasure hunt during the tour.

Did you take the Welcome to DL tour recently? We're taking it next Monday; just hoping you'd give me a summary. Thanks!!

I did this with my son (9) this past December and we had so much fun. He still is talking about it :yay:
