I'm sure this is a stupid question, but is this $1500 for each month ($7500 total), or $1500 total over the course of the 5 months?

I am not sure I could even spend $1,500 in a month. But I am going to transfer everything I can over to Discover and try to make it work.

What I did was the Southwest card was this... i didn't have enough to spend... so I just paid ahead on my cable bill by $400 to reach the limit. Then I didn't have a cable bill for a few months.


If you can get it, all charges go to the $1500 a month. If you take something back and it takes you under the $1500 for even one of the months, then you don't get it.

FYI: I just called the number and asked for the offer but was told that it was not linked to my account. As this was the case, she could not sign me up for it. I wonder if it's because I DO normally put at least $1500 per month on it already? Oh well, I tried!

I bet its because you use it a lot. DH and I never use ours except to hit the limit for the 5% (which is usually like $300 over 3 months) or if we shop at Marc's since they only take Discover.

It may not be, they told me they offer different incentives to different people at different times.

We aren't linked either, but we don't put that much on our Discover card (well, we did this month because we bought a new computer with the 5% rebate).

Yikes. There's no way I charge $1500 per month on my credit card. Wish I could take advantage of it! Congrats to those of you that got the deal.

You would be surprised if you put all your bills on it, it isn't that hard. Newspaper delivery, cable, gas, electric, phone, internet, car insurance, medicine, all dr bills, ever single thing you buy during the month. Also, if you have a big trip, pay a few hundred dollars each month.
