Hi! My family just returned from WDW in December 2001. I've now got the Disney mania...even more than before.

Where could I find Disneyland resort discounts or codes? I saw the 1 free day...thought my hubby and I might try to do Disneyland alone...

anyhelp would be appreciated

Doesn't really quite work that way at Disneyland - the discounts go by whether or not you have an AP, are in AAA, and Disney Club. The lodging choices at Disneyland are very affordable offsite -- where offsite is sometimes closer than onsite, and most accomodations are walking distance. Dreams Unlimited and other Disney travel agencies can get some good room rates, also Travelocity and Expedia will sometimes have great rates. Hang around here, you will find some great tips! Disneyland is terrific. Different from WDW (better in some ways!) and definitely worth seeing.

We've been to WDW numerous times, and are planning our very first trip to DL....it is mind-boggling to me that off-site may actaully be closer! I'm having a very difficult time accepting that fact! However, with DH, myself and 3 kids we'd prefer either a suite or connecting rooms and if prices are that much better for location as close or closer to DL, I may have to believe you all and go for the room off-site! Any favorites you'd be willing to suggest?

You will save tons of $$$! and you will be close enough to walk, and probably get a bigger room/suite! check out www.getawaytoday.com they have great prices and we had super service with them. We called the 1-800 # that is listed on their website and the lady was VERY helpful! We had no problems with them, and our trip was last minute!! we ordred the pkg about 6 days before our arrival. We stayed at Westcoast Anaheim hotel. It was great! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the parks! but they do not have a free b-fast we missed that, we usually get a room w/ the b=fast. and it is about 2 1/2 blocks from the parks, but we walked and it was fine!

I know that it sounds strange but it is true. Unless of course you are staying at GC in which you can't get closer then IN DCA.
