Discounts over New Years?

Does anyone remember if there were any discounts over the New Year period last year? I am booked at ASSp from Dec 18 - 24, and GF from the 24th - 28th, using the Canadian at par special. However for the last 6 nights (Dec 28 - Jan 3), I didn't want to pay rack rate ($124 for ASMo, I think) after spending just $48 for Sports a few days earlier. I wanted to splurge over Christmas, but Dec 25th check-in is the last day for the specials!!! Any suggestions? I don't want to rent a car, so I need to stay on site. Thanks in advance.

I'll see you at the Grand. As for discounts, I know that if you book your trip for the last day of the value season and it carries over into the busy season. The rate plan is as if your entire stay was at the value season. I'm on the Grand Plan at GF (perhaps a bit "grandly" redundant). Anyhow, my trip starts on December 19th thru January 3. If I started it on Dec. 20th, I'd pay 80% more. So basically by starting a day early, I get the whole package at the "value" rate. I hope this helps.
