Discounts on Universal Passes

Thanks for the help..

So we're going to US/IA Jan 2-6ish.... Do we need to make PS, and if so, how?

I'd like to eat once at Margaritaville. And any tips for parking (we have a rental car, going from DVC BWV down I-4).

Yes, I'm in Naperville.

i guess that answers that one.............i'll never know the answer now.....

Macraven, you know you can ask me anything, girlfriend!

I seriously doubt that you will even need reservations. But here's the number for reservations at Margaritaville: 407-224-2155.

It won't hurt to get the free ticket for your daughter to use later.

Good news, Goldilocks, your tickets are good. Check your email.

Every penny counts for us... We're both in IT, and my hubby and I are both facing forced reductions soon, so every little bit helps.

Thanks, Goldi

I just checked my AP and it expires May 13th. It was that fab deal 2 year preferred for $169.... Just wondering if any AP deals are out there and if anyone thinks there is a chance for another 2 year pass deal. Thanks

We're staying at RPR in Feb and I got the deal where you get 2 adult passes and 2 children free. Only one of my 4 children is 3-9 and the other are teens. Is it worth it to get the 2nd free kids? Can I save it, give to someone else, or upgrade it at the park for one of my teens? I imagine it will be dated b/c it's tied to our hotel stay. Phantom said something about the child's being linked to reservation name so I probably can't give it away. Also, we received the passes on line that you were talking about before we got the passes with the room and they are in fact all adults with no expiration. I had ordered 5 adults thinking I'd get a free child's with each and instead ended up with 10 adult tickets. I could have ordered 3 and been all set. I was able to sell them to another family. They were thrilled to get 5 days so all worked out. Thanks for any input.

I'm not sure what the tickets are that you get for your hotel stay but if they are indeed child's tickets, then you can always upgrade to an adult for around $10.

The tickets online, as you found out, are the same for adults and children.

I just ordered the 2 adult/2 free child tickets from the Universal website. A nice savings considering we're taking our nephew with us also!!. I requested kiosk pickup - will these tickets look identical to the ones that they send to your home that I've seen mentioned on here? (re: child tickets actually being adult tickets) He's over 52" and I'm wondering if we'll reallly need to bring id for him??

The kiosk tickets are exactly the same. He will be able to use the ticket.

Phantom,
When I get the free child's ticket at the hotel, do I just take it customer relations in the park and request the upgrade to adult? Thanks again for all your help.

I suspect the child ticket might be the Bonus pass. If it is, then there will be no reason to upgrade as they are all the same for adults and children. I'm just not familiar with what tickets come with the hotel package. If the ticket you get for your hotel stay does say child's ticket on it, go to Guest Service at either park and they will upgrade it for you.

Oooh, i'm totally confused.

As the above post states, and other places, i've read that all the passes come in as adult passes. But their website specifically says ages 3-9.

I'm soo confused....can one of you experts please clarify for me?? I would be so very grateful!! Thank you so much in advance!

yes, the on line store states buy one adult (age 10 and up) and receive one free childs ticket. when i say ticket i am referring to the 5 day bonus pass.

it is listed as buy a 2 day 2 park pass and receive an additional 3 more days free.

what has happened is the tickets people have been receiving do not indicate on the back of the ticket adult or child.

therefore, all of the tickets you receive may be used for adults.
technically, when you order this set of passes, you should receive one child pass for each paid adult up to the limit of 6 tickets total.
since the passes are not designated for which age group, many are reporting on the boards of using the passes to their advantage.

there may come a period where universal changes this and start sending out adult/child tickets as listed

Good explanation macraven, We did not know this at the time and we were certainly not trying to cheat Universal at the time I posted this. I just thought it was a fluke until Phantom verified it. Anyways, we made out great and because of this our 2 day trip to RPR has now turned into a 5 day so we both made out (my family and RPR).

a 5 day sweet at the onsite hotel is sweet.

have a great vacation !

i go october so i have a wait to go

When you do the kids free and 3 days free are ALL the tickets 5 day tickets or do only the kids tickets get the 3 days free?

Just the kids get the free days. Universal likes to provide a chance for the 3- 9 year old kids to hit the parks while the parents stay at the hotel. (Joke) :teeth:

All the tickets are for 5 days.

I know it was a silly question, but the way it is worded on the website, it almost seems like it was for the kids only. Thanks. I just wanted to make sure before I ordered the tickets.
