Discounts on DCL for DVC members

There have been 2 sailings this year that I know of that DLC offered cash discounts to DVC members. (Found out about them too late to take advantage)

Were these discounts available to all DVC members? I read that some DVC members had received an email to let them know about the discounts. When I called DCL to inquire about the discounts on the NY cruises, the booking deadline had passed, but the CM said that,when available, to book with the discount it required a code. Were codes included in the emails? Were DVC members that had purchased directly from Disney the only members to receive the emails?

I love DCL and am always looking for ways to find a bargain on a cruise.

I still have the email from the June promotions for the Fantasy. There is no mention that it excludes resale purchasers. Yes, there was a booking code contained in the email.

I wonder why all DVC members did not get the email? Had you sailed with DCL previously?

I called member services to find out why I hadn't received the email at the time it came out. Apparently I didn't properly sign up for email notices for offers (or something on that idea). I went online to the DVC member site and logged on and changed the selection so I could receive the emails and it was sent right to me. Not sure if this is why you did not receive offer, but worth checking out.

I just went to check and I didn't see where I can do this. Exactly what area was this in? I looked under my profile and didn't see it.
