Hi all DVCer's;)

Just wondering I believe that I read somewhere that if you are a DVC member you qualify for Florida resident discount on passes?

Is this true? I know as a DVC member you would receive a 10% discount on passes, but as a Florida resident do you receive them cheaper?

What is the better route to go Annual Passes or Length of Stay?
Where is the best place to go to purchase them?

Thanks so much!!

Sorry, but no this is not true. Being a DVC member doesn't give us any Florida resident discounts. Also we get no discount on passes at DVC members.

However, if you have a Disney Club card you can use that to get a discount on APs, plus merchandise at the Disney Store, as well as several shops at Downtown Disney and discounts on meals at several restaurants at WDW. Even though we are DVc members, we feel the price of the Disney Club Card is well worth it.

As far as the difference between APs and LOS, we prefer APs and I think most other do also. Depending on your LOS, it can cost about as much as an AP and it's only good for your LOS. If you visit WDW more than once a year the AP is the way to go.

DVC Members do not qualify for Florida resident rates on anything Disney. The DVC paperwork you signed when you purchased DVC specifically excludes DVC membership as a qualifier.

DVC will give you a 10% discount on Ultimate Park Hopper (Length of Stay) passes. There is no DVC discount on any other admission media to the four major parks. There is a DVC discount for PI and the waterparks. Can't remember if it is 10%, 15% or 20% for those.

The best pass for you will depend on how you long you plan to stay and how you plan to tour.
