Discounts Last October

Hi all,

We normally travel in September, so I know the discounts might be different in October (different season.) Does anyone remember what the room and or/package discounts were like last year? I have a friend who may be going with us and I told her I'd try and see what they were for a room only or a package.

Specifically looking at Animal Kingdom Lodge or a moderate.

If I remember correctly they did extend free dining, but she has two boys (who will be 6 & 4) and they are not big eaters, so that may not be the best discount for her.

The free dining promotion lasted until October 3, but then a dining promotion was extended through sometime in December. If I remember it was a little different. I think it was if you stayed at a Moderate or Deluxe, you got the regular dining plan free. If you stayed at a Value, you got the QS dining plan free.

I wanted to say thanks everyone for their responses. What I was really looking for (sorry, don't think I was clear! ) was what they offered for room only reservations. Such as 25 % off moderate, or AKL rooms for 150.00. Something along those lines. I checked Mousesavers, but they just have "room-only" discount released...not what the discount was.

Free BASIC dining went thru October 3rd + 10 days after.

Disney also offered a different free dining offer for the rest of October and most dates thru December 15 which consisted of value resorts booked got free quick service dining and moderate/deluxe resorts booked got free basic dining. This was the frist time that some type of free dining was offered from mid-August to mid-December (minus black out holiday dates).

Crossing my toes that they do it again this year!

I know there were room only rates and PIN's floating around but I can't remember what they were, sorry.
